When earth passes through the trail of
dust and gas left by a comet, the
particles enter Earth's atmosphere and
most burn up in a lively light show, thus
creating a meteor shower
• The number of meteors that can be seen during
a meteor shower vary. It starts with the
appearance of a few meteors per hour,
Increasing its frequency until it reaches its peak
of 1-2 meteors per minute, and then declines.
• Meteoroids from comets appear fuzzy because
of the Ice particles while those from asteroids
are clearer and distinct because they do not
have these ice particles.
