Description of Shayde

Our story follows Shayde, a young arabian/north african woman in her mid to late 20's, who makes a
living out in the Dubai Desert as a small time trader and drug peddler. Her natural demeanor is always
one that has purpose and she tends to shy from making herself stand out in a crowd. That being said,
those who do business with or are familiar with Shayde know she can get some of the best trade goods
in all of the valley. She keeps a tight schedule that is constantly updated, and all is archived at her home
in Concord, kasbah/depot located above an old american/Israeli alligned missile base. Within her
schedule she keeps a journal and log of goods and services that are in need of payment or
transportation; not to mention she makes a great escort for caravans. She means business and if a
situation is going south, Shayde is more than willing to throw hands or shoot a dude to get a job done,
but she is always ready to sit down with company and enjoy a good smoke and a cup of wine.

Shayde is a beautiful 29 year old woman with dark brown skin and has middle eastern and north
african roots standing at approximately 5' 7" with a very athletic build. Her hair is braided wrapped up in
nice fabrics such as silk and high end wool that have different textures and colors. She always has a stern
and serious look accompanied by heavy bags under her eyes as well as the scars from combat and
intense weather conditions. Jewelry she wears bone or natural materials she finds like feathers, no
metal or reflective materials.
Her clothing is very traditional mixed with renaissaince era equipment, like powder horns, bandoliers,
and other equipment. She tends to keep the amount of gear she wears to a minimum, typically carrying
some sort of bag or satchel, with perhaps a staff or her Jezail camel gun. Along with her bag, she keeps a
long knife at her side, mostly for utility rather than fighting, but it can be used in a fight effectively. She
has many layers of thin fabrics she also wears, some are thicker like the inner layers being soft like llama
or alpaca cloth, as the layers move outward, its more like super thin silk or finely threaded wool of some
kind. She does however wear a cowl that is ornate with traditional embroidery as a trim. On right hand
side of her body, she has a gun holster for a revovler that is positioned as a cross draw from her left
hand, as she is a natural lefty. The footwear is the most modern type of clothing she has, being a worn
pair of desert camo boots that are high tops, being laced with an ornate lacing, probably woven by hand.
One unique piece of equipment that she has that is unique is the revolver she carries, an iconic symbol
that is as rare as rain in the desert, this is always kept on her in the cross draw holster.

This is the main antagonist of the story of Dust, but is more complicated than just a normal evil cult
leader. Before she was major adversary to Shayde, she was a scientist from a far away place that was
not on any maps of of any convenience to travel to. Her occupation is in bio chemistry learning and
training in the compound she's is working at as well as lives at. She has an amazing talent of being able
to find good in and hope in a bleak place, putting herself in front of harms way or standing up for what
she feel is right, even if she gets injured. She is a discoverer and trailblazer, eager to find the secrets of
the world and finding untouched locations to research. She is a brilliant scientist, being able to create
and write complex equations as well as compounding different drugs together for medicinal use. No
matter where she was or how bad a situation might be, she was always smiling and hopeful.

She was once a young looking bright eyed European girl, with hints of French and Armenian features and
soft cream skin with a bit of freckling along the bridge of her nose as well as her upper cheek bones.
Although Her build is very slim and model like, she is very tall for a woman in this day of age, standing at
the height of 6'0", with long slender legs and arms Her noticeable features are her strawberry blond hair
that is tied up in a bun to keep it out of her eyes and off her neck. She also has very defined sharp green
eyes that always gave off a ray of hope and wonder. She wore a very strange outfit the first time Shayde
and her met, a more modern fabric style of polyester and nylon button up blouse with a khaki style
sahara pants, and high boots. She also keeps on her a familiar item, Shaydes revolver, originally
belonging to Charlotte, as well as the holster it comes in. Charlotte however is a natural righty, keeping
the holster on the right hand side for an easy draw. She has a small pack she keeps on her, about
enough space to keep a small amount of equipment and 3 days of food/supplies.

Fast forward about 14 years into the future, and the true demon of the valley shows her true colors.
Almost as if something has possessed her soul. Her entire purpose and demeanor has shifted to be a
power hungry megalomaniac, using a once local religion to boost her out reach to accomplish her
mission. She now solely uses her skills as a bio chemist to create a compound to trick the population.

Her personality has shifted dramatically, although strangely she is the same age as Shayde (secretly
part of a cloned work crew), she is radically not at all the charlotte she knew. She is very aggressive in
her practice, willing to test her creations on other live people. She has also tested the compounds on
herself as well to see if they work, thus her mind is erratic and paranoid as well. She is however still
calculated with her plans , keeping a close eye on all operations; thus she has her hand in almost every
aspect of her plans. Charlotte is also very vengeful and never forgets someone who has wronged her.

Not only has her personality changed but also her face and her body has changed as well. The sparkle
and glow of joy that was in her green eyes has literally faded, giving it a very dulled green hue. Her
strawberry hair is longer than she had when she knew Shayde, but now it has faded to a thin less vibrant
color, almost as if it has been slowly falling out over the years. Her once beautiful soft skin is now
scarred and burnt from chemical burns from creating and compounding her drugs. Her teeth have also
yellowed and her lips and ears have chapped dry skin, like she has been dehydrated. Her clothes have
also changed, wearing more of a ceremonial garments like white shear silk with traditional gold trim.
Her overall accessories are more for status and show rather than function, like gold necklaces, rings, etc.
