GIVE UP TOMORROW

I. Introduction

A.) Explanation of the subject.

“Give Up Tomorrow was written by Michael Collins and Eric Daniel Metzgar.
The story focused on the struggle of two angry and sorrowful mothers who have
dedicated more than a decade to executing or saving one young man, Paco
Larrañaga. It exposed the corruption and injustice in the Philippines.

B.) Reaction to the Subject.

1.) Based on what I’ve watched, I disagree to the situation they gave in the
suspect. They ruined not just his life but his whole family’s life. All the
evidences pointed at Paco were not enough to convict him as the real suspect.
2.) At the beginning of the story, I doubt in what Paco’s family POV, because it’s
normal to believe in every rumor you’ve heard at first. But at the end of the
story, I have so many realizations and it helped me to change my mind and
understand more and believe the side of Paco.
3.) At last, I met those expectations that Paco will get the Justice he deserves,
because he did not do anything wrong and the victim’s side just accused him.
4.) I learned that if something happens like this, the judicial system of the country
must exhaust. All resources to get the real culprit because if they don't and
decide haphazardly, they might easily destroy someone’s life. I also had
certain realizations about the government for being dirty and being unfair.
C.) Thesis Statement

fifteen years.
