Sirens
ABS plastic siren

When you select a micron siren product you select excellence in design. Materials used to
build our sirens are controlled by a design specification and we use only high quality metal
or super high impact UV protected ABS plastic. Our sirens are moulded from custom
production tooling so that each unit we manufacture is identical. Sheet metal parts are
electro-zinc plated, then gold passivated and finished in a high quality powder coating, all
of which is designed to give durability and the best possible life from our product. If you
live near the sea, our stainless steel sirens provide maximum rust staining resistance, while
our ABS siren is ideal for such adverse environments.

The heart of our electronic sirens is a printed circuit board that generates the siren sound
and flashes the lamp assembly. All micron circuit boards are assembled by CNC robotics.
Our high-speed ‘pick and place’ equipment and surface mount technology (SMT)
production line ensures minimum handling of electronic components. For your peace of
mind we build our siren circuit boards in-house using fully automated SMT robotics. This
means much higher reliability from a product that has to work when you need it to.

When you look at a micron siren you will see that a strict quality standard has been applied
throughout the design and manufacturing cycle. Micron has invested in custom plastic
tooling to mould our lamp and lens assembly in high tech, super strength polycarbonate.
Compare this almost ‘bullet proof’ material with the more commonly used acrylic, which
shatters easily and deteriorates with UV exposure. Micron’s metal sirens are manufactured
with a rugged 1.6mm outer metal jacket while our ABS siren is manufactured from 4mm
high impact ABS for maximum attack resistance. Compared to the more often used 1.2mm
metal or 2.5mm ABS, this makes everything about a micron siren big, strong and durable.

Maxi siren

Because micron’s mini micro and maxi sirens are programmable microprocessor devices they provide
added functionality to improve the security of your alarm system. When arming and disarming your renowned micron quality and
micron alarm system with a remote transmitter, these sirens can be programmed to “chirp” and/or reliability
“flash” so that you have visual and/or audible confirmation of your alarm status. An added deterrent
function may be programmed to flash the siren lamp every 15 seconds. All micron external sirens are
a loud 105dB.
All external metal and high impact ABS sirens can be fitted with a blue or red polycarbonate lens and
metal sirens are also available in 307 grade stainless steel.
ECO mini siren (metal or high impact ABS)
Our ECO mini siren is an external siren without any battery back-up. Power is sourced from the alarm
controller and a burglary sound is generated for all alarm conditions. As in all micron sirens, ECO is
fully tamper protected.
ECO is primarily specified for monitored alarm systems.
Composite strobe siren
This external siren features a high intensity strobe lamp and a high pitched
sounder when alarmed. With full tamper protection and visual arm and
disarm status through the siren lens, our strobe siren offers a very cost-
effective siren solution. Available with either a red or blue lens.
Internal circular piezo siren
White circular flush mounted internal piezo siren. Internal piezo
sirens come in a number of different shapes and sizes and are
usually fitted in a discrete out of sight position.
Internal and external sirens provide a loud deterrent for any
intruder who has broken into your home or office and also
alerts neighbours to an alarm condition.
