Today I gonna examine your back passage, that mean I have to have a look, feeling inside with my finger,
it might feel a little bit unconfortable but I wont last long / if you feel unconfortable at any point we can
stop / are you happy to procced the procedure

I am going to get sphaperone and in the mean time can you pull down your underware and trouser /
lying sheet cover on you// facing the wall on your side it that ok

Equitment need

Gloves / apron/ lubricant/ paper towels

Wash hand

Wear apron

Ok john can you pull your knee to your chest for me that would be great

I just pull off the sheet and have a look alright

Skin excoraiation

Rashes

Haemorrhoids

Anal fissure

Bleeding

Fistula

Abscess

Lubricate finger

Now I gonna put my finger into your back passage

Insert finger gentley to anal canal

Palpate the prostate anteriorly and rotate 360 to access anal canal

Can you squeeze my finger now please , that find , relax and I going to pull it out ok ( anal tone )

Withdraw and inspect the finger ( blood /stool/ musuc)

Let me just wipe out the gel as well ( wipe away the excess lubricant)
Re-cover the patient

Ok john that the end of the examination , you can now get dress

Dispose used equitment into the clinical waste bin

Wash your hand
