t seems that everywhere one looks these days, there is evidence of
OSU’s BSET degree 43
momentum in Licking County.
To the west, we have the arrival of Intel, whose $20 billion Arcade updates 46
investment in our county will result in thousands of jobs for residents
of all backgrounds and education levels. Newark and its surrounding State Farm
municipalities are preparing for the accompanying growth in various transforms 48
ways, including the formation of the countywide Framework planning
initiative as well as the Newark campus of Ohio State University’s offering
a new Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET) degree. The
skills taught in this program will equip graduates to contribute not just
to the Intel workforce, but at employers around the county and beyond.
It’s clear that Licking County is home to a number of great people who
are doing great things to make this an even better place to live, work and
play — only a handful of whom could be highlighted in this year’s edition
of Proud, but all of whom I’m certain you will enjoy catching up with.
As you peruse these pages, I’m confident you’ll catch on to the
excitement. We are poised for growth, ready to work hard and equipped to
welcome progress.
Read on and join me in this celebration of the strides Licking County is
making toward the future.

I don’t know how to ride a bike.
Favorite place to hang out in Licking County:
Hope Valley is my favorite place to hang out. By far the
most beautiful place I have ever been to, and I never
knew it was in Licking County until 2 years ago.
Biggest accomplishment:
While winning Licking County Young Professional of

my biggest accomplishment is learning how to love
myself and accepting wonderful people as a family.
Five bucket list items?
1. Swim with pigs and flamingos, 2. Visit Aruba,
3. Be able to see the 50th anniversary of Hope Valley,
