Information Gap:
Lack of charging infrastructure, prohibitive cost of ownership, and slow charging speeds rank among the
top concerns of potential EV owners. Although these concerns are not unwarranted, considerable
progress has been made on all fronts. Still, perceptions are not changing at the same pace as the evolution
of technology. This reveals an information gap that needs to be addressed.
Charging Duration:
EVs take at least 4X longer to refuel compared to conventional cars, with a charging duration varying
from 0.5 to 8 hours depending on the charger and EV type. For long-range drivers, public-charging
station users, and fleet operators this could add considerably to their overall travel time.
