homeowners in your area just to make sure we don’t go to your house uninvited”
I’m not interested/Solar doesn’t make sense to
us. “Okay, did solar just not make any monetary sense or did you just not like the looks?” (You can also say “Financial sense” Instead of “Monetary sense” if you’re more comfortable saying that) (You want to gather as much information as possible. There’s a reason they’re not interested and you want to find out why before pitching benefits or solutions) If they tell you it “doesn’t make financial sense” then you can say “I completely understand, and that’s the reason I’m reaching out to you. Prices on panels went down, efficiency per panel has gone up, AND the federal tax credit got extended this year. So not only are you not gonna pay anything up front, you’ll also be saving a lot more money than paying your current electricity provider. Are you going to be available this week/weekend just to show you an energy savings report?”
I have to talk to my Wife/Husband “Absolutely, are you
and your Wife/Husband usually available the week days or weekend?” Depending on if they say weekday or weekend give them choices EX: “Okay would Wednesday or Friday work better for the two of you?” Once they give you a day, ask them if the morning or afternoon works better. Once you do that then you give them two choices (in this Example we’ll use morning as reference) “Okay would 9AM or 11AM work better for you?” once you get a time say “Perfect, so why don’t we set you up for (Time and day) and we’ll give you a call an hour or two before the appointment just to make sure the both of you are home!” I’m not sure when I’ll be available/I don’t have time. “I completely understand, are you usually available on the weekdays or weekends?” If they say an option refer to the “appointment setting” PDF. IF they still tell you they don't know, ask them what time they usually get out of work and try to schedule around their work! If you keep asking and they still don’t give you an answer just ask them whens a good time to follow up
I don’t have enough money “I completely understand, we have
3 ways to go solar. 1) is the lease. 2) is finance. And 3) is cash. Both the lease and loan cost no money down and you save money your first month! It’s a free consultation and it’d only take 20-30 minutes to show you your solar energy savings report.”
I’m moving soon “Awesome, when do you plan on moving?”
“Okay well you do know if you plan to list your house with solar it’d sell for more, and not only that you’d pay less while you’re still staying in the house (For however long their planning to stay)
I’m refinancing my house soon “No worries! Solar does
take a couple of months to install due to permits, and we do soft credit checks if you decide to move forward with solar. Would that be something you want to look into this week?”
