MY FAVORITE PERSON

One of my favorite persons

is Vincent Willem van Gogh. I
truly did fall in love with his
paintings. Although I have never
studied art, I am a huge fan of art,
museum, and galleries. The first
time I saw his classic Starry
Night, I was simply stunned by the
bold, flowing strokes he used to
paint the crisp night sky.
Somebody may ask me why I like
him so much. Several years ago, one of
my agent teachers told us what he
thought about Van Gogh's paintings. He
said that Van Gogh was a mentally ill
person, but this illness drove him to do
great painting works. That's why his
paintings were so wonderful and full of
energy. Then I focused on those powerful
strokes and the vivid color that he used
in his paintings, which I felt so energetic.
In just over a decade, he created
about 2,100 artworks, including around
860 oil paintings, most of them in the
last two years of his life. He sold only
one painting during his lifetime (The Red
Vineyard at Arles in 1888) and did
not sell paintings until his final
years. What I really want to share
with you is how Vincent lived a
very short but happy life. So as
different people have different
opinions about this artist and his
works, but only time will tell who is
right or not!
