Vincent Van Gogh
Birth Name: Vincent Willem Van Gogh.
Birth: 30 March 1853 Zundert, Netherlands.
Died: 29 July 1890 (aged 37) Auvers-sur-Oise,
France.
Education: At age 15, van Gogh's family was
struggling financially, and he was forced to leave
school and go to work. He got a job at his Uncle
Cornelis' art dealership. In June of 1873, van Gogh
was transferred to the Groupil Gallery in London.
There, he fell in love with English culture. He visited
art galleries in his spare time, and also became a fan
of the writings of Charles Dickens and George Eliot.

than 2,100 works, consisting of 860
oil paintings and more than 1,300
and Artwork
watercolors, drawings and sketches.

Van Gogh became famous by the use of the light and
the color. It was painting thick outlines on the linen
giving thick brushstrokes or with the edge of a palette.
His postimpressionistic work influenced the majority
of the principal artistic movements of the 20th
century.

Conclusion
We chose Vincent Van Gogh because
he shows us art more than just a
painting but shows us what she wants
to tell us. In one of his sentences he
says that what he draws he sees clearly,
that he found a voice in it. Vincent Van
Gogh through his paintings and
drawings shows us the beauty or
revelations of his post_impressionism
and modern art.
