IF YOU WANT PEACE WORK FOR JUSTICE

“If you want peace, work for justice.” These two goes hand in hand. You cannot
have one without the other. Peace in the world comes when we seek and work for the
justice of our neighbor and the world. There is peace when there is equality of
judgement.

Can you imagine a country without a law? Anarchy is a society without a

government and a society without basis, rules and laws to be followed is purely a
chaotic society where bad and good deeds cannot be distinguished because one
cannot differentiate the two. We all desired to live in a country where children are safe
to play anywhere and ladies can walk safely during day and night, that is why we stand
for the rights of the oppressed and listen without judgements. Promoting peaceful and
inclusive societies, providing access to justice for all and building effective, accountable
and inclusive institutions at all levels. Where people everywhere should be free of fear
from all forms of violence and feel safe as they go about their lives whatever their
ethnicity, faith or sexual orientation. High levels of armed violence and insecurity have a
destructive impact on a country’s development. Sexual violence, crime, exploitation and
torture are prevalent where there is conflict or no rule of law. Governments, civil society
and communities need to work together to find lasting solutions to conflict and
insecurity. Strengthening the rule of law and promoting human rights is key to this
process, as is reducing the flow of illicit arms, combating corruption, and ensuring
inclusive participation at all times. We can only look forward to a more equal and
sustainable world if we have more peaceful and inclusive societies. That means we'll
need to reduce crime, violence, and exploitation. The illegal arms and drug trade will
have to stop. Public institutions that we all rely on will have to be effective, transparent
and accountable.

Every individual is encouraged to take action in society for the promotion of

peace and justice in the world. It seeks to strengthen citizen responsibility and
participation, both locally and globally. Everyone must be informed by the importance of
peace and justice, so that every person has the responsibility to work for justice within
themselves. All forms of justice must start within us, it must start on how we see things,
the fairness in our judgement and the weight on how we judge things clearly from our
own perspective. We all strive for a safe haven, a place where our future generation can
live freely without fear, and a place where our future children would be grateful for.
