Abstract

Shoulder pain is pain that affects one or both shoulders. This condition is classified
based on its location, cause, severity, and several other factors. Usually shoulder pain is
caused by bursitis (inflammation of the 'cushion' (bursa) between the bone and the overlying
soft tissue) or tendonitis. Pain can occur when a tendon is torn by injury or prolonged
overuse; Tendons become more common with age and tendons weaken. To relieve shoulder
pain, you can use medicines that can be taken orally or applied directly to the shoulder, and
are available at your pharmacy. Hot or cold packs can also help reduce pain.

This study aims to find out about the causes and consequences of shoulder pain felt by
the community. The data collection technique used in this research is using a questionnaire.
The research results obtained are that many people are likely to experience tendonitis because
of the possibility of very strenuous activity and lack of adequate rest and lack of movement.

From the research that has been done, there are some suggestions/inputs for the
readers. For the community, it is fitting for people to care about their personal health. For
future researchers, hopefully they can do more research on this shoulder pain so that
maximum results can be obtained from the research that has been done before.

Conclusion

From research conducted by researchers, it was found that shoulder pain is mostly
caused by frequent use of sling bags or frequent lifting of one-sided objects. This shoulder
pain does not really interfere with activities and the scope of the pain only reaches the
shoulder, does not spread to the knuckles. Usually, if people feel shoulder pain, they go
straight to a massage therapist instead of going to physiotherapy or taking medicines
(herbs/pain relievers) and jamu. Tendinitis is characterized by the appearance of pain in the
inflamed tendon. This pain is usually worse when the muscles in the inflamed tendon area are
moved, for example when jumping, running, or twisting the wrist. Pain can also be
accompanied by a number of other symptoms, such as mild swelling in the problematic area
of the tendon, the appearance of a warm sensation, redness, and muscle stiffness.

This research is aimed at the public, especially athletes, construction workers and
workers who often carry heavy loads such as boxing athletes, swimming athletes, weight
lifters and tennis athletes, where an athlete usually moves or exercises more often by
exceeding the maximum limit of working tendons and muscles. to provide them with
education and knowledge about shoulder pain which may seem trivial but if left unchecked
for a long time it willgreatly affect daily activities and cause chronic damage to the tendons,
causing pain that will continue to increase over time if left unchecked, as well as stiffness in
tendons and muscles that affect movement in our bodies.

From the research that has been done, there are some suggestions/inputs to the
readers. For the community, it is fitting for people to care about their personal health. If you
start to feel shoulder pain, get plenty of rest, reduce the load on your shoulders, and do light
movements on your shoulders so that your muscles don't get stiffer. For future researchers,
hopefully they can do more research on this shoulder pain so that maximum results can be
obtained from the research that has been done before. Finally, I hope this research is useful
for all of us and all readers.
