COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course is basically a fundamental one and it will expose students to the
essential knowledge on computers.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
After the completion of this course students would be able to:
i. Appreciate the evolution of computers
ii. Describe the various components of the computer hardware
iii. Describe the types of software and the functions they perform
iv. Describe computer network
v. Describe the Internet and what it is used for
vi. Describe computer security and explain some of the control measures to
minimise the risk of computer security.
