Billy Elliot

Introduction: Billy Elliot is a british film of

more or less two hours produced by Stephen
Daldry and written by Lee Hall. The music of
this film is very dramatic and its produced and
edited by two people: Wayne Hector and
Stephen Warbeck.

Analysis: Billy Elliot is a normal kid in a

normal life. He was obligated by his father to
go to boxing.He was bulied in school becuase
nearly all his class parterns win him and boys
laugh at him because a girl won him in boxing.
He wasnt confortable in boxing because he had
a passionate love for dancing specially ballet.
His father dont want that but he showed all
the world and his father that he was a speciall
kid with speciall skills on ballet.

Main Characters:

Bily Elliot: Billy Elliot is a 11 years old kid who

is father work in a mine.His father wants him
to be a boxer but he liked to be a dancer.He
was bullied nearly by all his school and also
bullied by his brother Tony Elliot.
 Jackie Elliot: Jackie Elliot is the father
of Billy,he is a britsh work class man
who works in a mine.He has inopotunal
feelings and emotions specially as he
struggles raising Billy and his brother
Tony looking after their dead mom.
Jackie is involved in a strike for the
rights of miners as they explote them in
mines.

Tony Elliot:He bullies Billy , his

little brother, and bullies people at
work, passionate and violent in his
philosophies about the strikes
taking place. While he is initially
horrified to learn that Billy likes
ballet, he eventually comes around
and supports his brother's talent,
recognizing that Billy has
something special.

Sandra Wilkinson:
Sandra Wilkinson is the
teacher of ballet who haves
classes in the gymnasium .
She is the teacher of Billy,
and was the first one who
recognized the talent of Billy
and encouraged him to
continue with is carrer in
ballet.
The grandma of Billy Elliot: The
Grandma of Billy was living with the Elliot family
firstly in the film we can see that she feel somo
loneliness.When she was like Billys age she
wantes to do ballet just like Billy

Michael: Michael lives in Billy’s neighborhood and it

is Billy’s best friend. Billy sees him changing his clothes
in the woman’s drees room and later on he comes to
Billy saying that Billy was his crush and he was gay. Billy
accepts him and this didnt affect in their relationship.
Then he goes with Billy to the dance studio and Billy
shows and teaches him how to dance.

Comment and explanation of the movie:

In this movie appears a ver special music and its the music that miners
used in the 1984 miners coal strike. This strike was during 1984 to 1985
and paralized the mahority of industries that used coal. This movie is
inspired in Sir Thomas Allen who travelled from north-east England to be
in a professional opera
Conclusion:
In this movie i have learned the strike of the miners that paralized nearly
all England production that was done with coal and also i have learned
that being a boy or a girl doesnt mean you can do something.For example
a woman can play football and a men can dance ballet without any
problems.I think that tjis is the objective of the film and also not to
question and abusing of people who are gay or lesbian,we have to respect
all people and respect also ourselves.
