Chapter 3:

A man playing the piano for the ballet lessons.

Chapter 4:
 Why does Jackie think something strange is happening to Billy?

Because he is always spinning.

they do so correctly, they get a chocolate:
Chapter 6:
 Who is the narrator of this chapter?

Chapter 7:
 What personal things does Billy take to the audition?

His mother’s letter and a music cassette that she liked.

 What time was it when Billy’s brother got up in the middle of the night and had a fight
with their father?

Four o’clock.

 What did Billy’s ballet teacher do when he shouted at her?

She hit him on the face.

Chapter 8:

Chapter 9:

He put them under his own jacket, touching his skin.

Chapter 10:
 What does Jackie decide to do to help his son?

He talks to the ballet teacher and sells his wife’s wedding ring for 25 pounds to get money for
the audition. He also retakes work in spite of the strike.

Chapter 11:
 If you think Billy is 12, stand up together. If you think he is 13, clap your hands. On the
count of three! 1, 2, 3!

They should all stand up, as Billy is 12.

 Complete: “Mrs Wilkinson is giving the fifty pences from the ballet class. We’re selling
