Thank you for evaluating BarCodeWiz Code 128 Barcode Fonts.

The easiest way to create Code 128 barcodes is to use BarCodeWiz Code 128 toolbar and macros
installed during program setup:

To create a barcode, select text and click on Selection To Barcode on the toolbar. This command formats the
text and changes the font to one of BarCodeWiz Code 128 fonts. To edit barcode properties, such as font
height, point size, or whether to show human readable text, click on the Options button before creating the
barcodes.

Encode multiple barcodes by enclosing them within square brackets (for example, [1234]), and clicking on
Convert All. This is useful with printing pages of labels or Mail Merge.

You may also use Font Tool (found in Code 128 Barcode Fonts program directory) to encode the barcode into the
proper format, and simply Copy/Paste it into Word. Please keep in mind that you still need to change the font
property of the encoded text to one of BarCodeWiz Code 128 fonts, such as BCW_Code128B_2 and adjust its
point size.

Special characters, such as TAB or RETURN, may be encoded using the following format: ^000, where 000 is
the three digit decimal ASCII code of the character. For example, the following will produce ABC <TAB> DEF
<RETURN>:
ABC^009DEF^013

To encode FNC1, use ^F1, for example: ^F142090210

UCC EAN 128 barcodes require ^F1 to be the first character in a barcode.

If the toolbar does not appear in Word, follow these steps to install it:

1. Shut down Word.

2. Go to Start > All Programs > BarCodeWiz Code 128 Fonts> BarCodeWiz Toolbar Options
and click on the button to install the toolbar.

1. Open the Add-Ins wizard:

a. Word 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016: File/Office button > Options > Add-ins > Manage
Word Add-ins > Go…

b. Word 97, 2000, or 2003: Tools > Templates and Add-ins
 2. Click on Add…

3. Select the file

C:\Program Files (x86)\BarCodeWiz Code 128 Fonts\Addins\BarCodeWizC128.dot

4. Close the window. The toolbar should now appear.
