Please consider your school choices carefully before you fill in the enclosed S1 Option Form. You may use the SchoolFinder at
https://go.gov.sg/schoolfinder to search and shortlist schools based on your criteria.

You may indicate your child's/ward's options by completing the form and submitting them in one of these ways:

(a) Online via S1 Internet System (https://go.gov.sg/submit-s1).

The system is accessible 24-hour (including Saturday and Sunday), starting from
11.30am on 23 Nov 2022 until 3.00pm on 29 Nov 2022 (Singapore Time).
The password to log in can be found on the top right-hand corner of the S1 Option Form.
Please retain this password for checking the posting results in mid-Dec.

(b) Through Your Child's/Ward's Primary School.

Submission of the form to primary school is from 11.30am - 3.00pm on 23 Nov 2022; and
9.00am - 3.00pm on 24, 25, 28 and 29 Nov 2022 (Singapore Time).

Late submission will NOT be accepted.

Your child/ward has taken the 2022 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). Based on his/her results, he/she is eligible for the
following. Please read this before making the secondary school options for your child/ward's admission to Secondary 1 (S1).

HIGHER MOTHER TONGUE LANGUAGE (HMTL)

Your child/ward is eligible to study a HMTL at secondary school level.

Your child/ward may apply to study the HMTL i.e. Higher Chinese/ Higher Malay/ Higher Tamil through his/her posted
secondary school. The Principal will arrange for him/her to attend lessons in the school if the school offers the course, or in a
designated centre if the school does not.

THIRD LANGUAGE
Your child/ward is eligible to apply for approval to study:
Category 1: 09 - Malay (Special Programme) [MSP]
Category 2: 56 - Arabic / 58 - Bahasa Indonesia
Category 3: 06 - French / 07 - Japanese / 08 - German / 65 - Spanish

If he/she wishes to study any of the above Third Languages, he/she must indicate the choices of Third Languages via (i) the
S1 Internet System or (ii) through his/her primary school. Please note that you are only allowed to choose one language
code from each of the categories.

In the event that the number of applicants for the Third Language exceeds the vacancies available, selection will be based
on each applicant's PSLE results. The results of this application will be made known to the students through their
posted secondary school.

All the above Third Languages are examinable subjects leading to the GCE O-Level Examination. Successful applicants for
MSP will attend lessons either in their own secondary school (if the school offers it) or at the nearest Zonal Centre.
Successful applicants for the other languages will attend lessons outside curriculum time at MOE Language Centre
(MOELC) at Bishan or Newton, except for students of Victoria School who will study Bahasa Indonesia at their own school.
