SUBJECT: Amendment to Department Memorandum 2020-0142 dated March

23, 2020 entitled “Interim Guidelines on COVID-19 Referral
Hospitals”

The Department Memorandum No. 2020-0142 “Interim Guidelines on COVID-19

Referral Hospitals” is hereby amended change following: to the

B. Designation Process

a. The DOH
shall
assess the capacity of the eligible hospital to be designated as
COVID Referral Hospital based on service capability seen in Annex A.

b. The DOH
shall issue a Department Order for the designation of the identified
hospital for DOH- retained Hospitals and a Memorandum of Agreement for
Non-DOH Hospitals

B. Designation Process

a. The Centers for Health Development (CHDs) shall assess the capacity of the
eligible hospital in their respective regions to be designated as COVID Referral
Hospital based on service capability seen in Annex A.

b. The CHDs shail designate the COVID referral hospital/s through the issuance
of a Regional Order for DOH hospitals. If the hospital to be designated as a
COVID Referral Hospital is a non-DOH hospital, the perfection of a
Memorandum of Agreement between the CHD and the
entity that owns and/or
manages the
hospital shall suffice.

As thus amended,
all other provisions of the Department Memorandum No. 2020-0142
dated March 23, 2020 shall remain in effect.
