NOMINATION FORM
1. Briefly describe the nominee’s journey in life illustrating how s/he lived as a woman
or played the role of a woman using the STAR Framework below:
TASK: (Tasks involved in that challenge / situation; what s/he tried to achieves from the
situation)
1. As Breadwinner, she had limited resources with her regular salary as teacher, she has to
have other income to keep up with everyday food and other basic needs, send them to
school, and many other financial requirements of the family. What she did was keep a
strict budgeting plan, on a need first before want basis. Sell goods to relatives and friends
and even engage in loans and lending to meet financial requirements.
2. Education/ teacher
She must keep track of her children’s schooling and monitor their activities to keep them
in good path.
3. AS A RESPONSIBLE DAUGHTER
She personally took care of her parents who were already Senior Citizens. Although not totally
financial concerns, but she responsibly looks after their state if health.
4. AS A COUNSELOR
Being the 2nd daughter among the siblings, she acts as a counselor to whoever among her
siblings need advices. This role is also practiced with her peers and colleagues at work
ACTION: (Actions s/he took and why: what were the alternatives?)
1. Seek financial augmentation thru bank loans and lending or borrow money from
siblings.
2. Personally sat with her children and teach them and follow with their school work.
Continuously link with their schools for monitoring.
3. She had personal touch in caring for her parents specially their health conditions.
4. Established a close relationship with siblings through constant/frequent conversations
even through the telephone/cellphone. In that way, her advices and counsels were
easily taken by them.
RESULT: (Outcomes of his /her actions; were his/her objectives met?)
With the nominee’ firm belief and trust in GOD, she is very successful with her children.
Rucyl Oporto Lumor, the eldest is now a Master Teacher 1, Joben Oporto is now employed
with MDRRMO, John Mark Oporto 3rd child is already a marine engineer working in foreign
vessel and married to the successful teacher too. The 2 children John Kevin and Racyl Jay
are still students. Both doing well on school and obedient children to their mother. Life has
been an uphill for Ma’am Jocyl, but the rocky road she trodded were not hindrances but
served as motivation to persevere and reach out for her dreams. Her dual role as father
and mother had strengthen her to work hard. GOD is indeed a loving GOD for Ma’am Jocyl
now is living a life of comfort and joy amidst the continuing challenges of life. Hard work
paid off with full trust in GOD.
