With self-awareness and regular practice, you can cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. A good
first step to enhancing your attitude and, ultimately, your business is to take the time to
comprehend and learn from other successful business people.
A person with an entrepreneurial mindset sees the world through a lens that considers
everything in the context of their entrepreneurial business. The entrepreneur always takes the
business into mind while making decisions.

Reflection about the movie

The movie was about the woman, Joy Mangano, who invented the Miracle Mop, but had no idea
it would dig into some real world entrepreneurial lessons that Hollywood usually leaves out
because it messes up the rags to riches fairy tale that people love to watch.

We hear every day the entrepreneurial lessons of “follow your passion, don’t quit, do what you
love, make your employees happy”. All of this is mostly true but it is all really the easy part of
being an entrepreneur. In Joy I saw for the first time in living color the blood, sweat and tears of
Entrepreneurship that creates a hero and yes, often a tragedy.

There is an angle of "Joy" that comes across like a cautionary tale for ambitious ideas. It pushes
the message that every good profitable idea requires an inordinate amount of risk, money, and
resources to get off the ground. The project could be damaged if even one stage of that process
is skipped. Create a solid staff that you can trust and make backup plans.
