Directions: Healthy amount of daily sodium and sugar intake is indicated below based on the Dietary Guidelines of the World Health Organization.
Do the tasks below to identify your limit in eating the food product identified.

SODIUM INTAKE
TASK: Look for a JUNK FOOD that you can find at home and cut the nutritional facts at the back of its wrapper. Attach the nutritional facts below
and follow the steps indicated.
Daily intake of Sodium for ages 9 to 13 should be less than 1.8 grams (g). ATTACH THE NUTRITIONAL FACTS BELOW
STEP 1: Look for the sodium content of the junk food chosen. Write the
amount below.

STEP 2: Convert the amount of sodium to grams (g). If the amount is


already in grams, skip this step. Write the conversion solution below.

STEP 3: Considering the limit of sodium intake is 1.8 grams and the

Daily intake of Sugar for ages 9 to 13 should be less than 25 grams (g). ATTACH THE NUTRITIONAL FACTS BELOW
STEP 1: Look for the sugar content of the sweet food chosen. Write the
