So today, I will talk about the recent antisemitic remarks of Kanye West and their consequences.

First of all, Ye, also known as Kanye west is an American producer, rapper, and fashion
designer who parlayed his production success in the late 1990s and 2000s.

Acts :

- In a tweet, a few weeks ago he said: I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm
going to death con 3 on Jewish People. And also during his since deleted.
- And also during his since-deleted podcast interview with Drink Champs, he made
unfounded claims that Jewish people hold immeasurable powering media.

Consequences :

- So according to that, on October 24, Adidas announced it had ended its partnership with
West. Because as they said in a statement: Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and
any other sort of hate speech. Ye's recent comments and actions have been
unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity
and inclusion, mutual respect, and fairness. They also declared that they would
immediately stop production of its line of Yeezy products and stop payment to Ye and his
companies.
- Jewish groups welcomed the Adidas decision but said the step was overdue. Because
Adidas has done a lot to distance itself from its past and like many sports brands, is one
of those companies that conduct big campaigns against antisemitism and racism. That's
why an earlier separation from Kanye West would have been appropriate, according to
Schuster the President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany.
- The Balenciaga fashion house has cut ties with Ye.
- Studio executives at MRC have also announced that they would be shelving a recently
completed documentary because as they say, they cannot support any content that
amplifies his platform.
And finally, Gap said it was taking "immediate steps" to remove Yeezy Gap products from its
stores and that it had shut down YeeGap.com. Because as I quote: antisemitism, racism, and
hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordance with our values.

Conclusion :

To conclude I would like to say that this situation, is a perfect example of the fact that every
action had consequences.
