AGUILAR : Good morning everyone, Let`s start our topic.

ALL : Good morning,

AGUILAR : I called this meeting to discussed the possible challenges/problems that the company may face regarding the
DEVELOPING PRODUCTIVE SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS IN A COMPETITIVE MARKET. You are all free to give your opinion or
suggestions on how we can solve the said challenges.

REFIL : Okay, then let`s start.

AGUILAR : I apologize to all of you for being rush about this meeting even you`re all are in rest day, because this topic is
very important to the company and we`re all need to solve it as soon as possible. Can I record this virtual meeting?

ALL : Sure, no worries.

AGUILAR : Before we start, lets briefly introduce our selves; I`m Genie Shayne Aguilar Marketing Manager. And i`ll be in
charge as the facilitator together with Ms. Ventura.

VENTURA : Hi, I`m the Production manager of this company and facilitator for today.

REFIL : I`m Almera Joy Refil, the marketing staff.

TALABOC : I`m Maria Joyce Talaboc, Promotion manager.

AGUILAR : This meeting is due to finish at 3pm, which means we only have 1hour, please stop side-talking and go to a quiet
place to concentrate on the meeting.

ALL : Okay!

VENTURA : Let`s go start, Let discuss the Challenges/Problems about the Suppliers relationship in a competitive market.

VENTURA : As you can see from this agenda, there are 6 possible challenges/problems that we need to discuss in this
meeting.

AGUILAR : Who would like to discussed our first agenda for today?

REFIL : Me, Lets discussed what is competitive relationship on supply chain. How can we build a good relationship with
supplier.

TALABOC : Supply Chain Management (SCM) — is one of the most popular and rapidly developing concepts in the field of
strategic management, marketing and logistics in past decade. It was conceptualized as strategic-level logistics at the 80-s
and then developed in different perspectives; such as marketing, logistics, strategic management, supply, etc. Probably the
greatest influence on SCM concept was made by the theory of strategic management, which includes competitive

strategies introduced by M. Porter, resource-based approach and the concept of core competences. Today SCM is widely
adopted concept, popular among researchers, consulters and practitioners and getting more and more important for
marketing specialists. It happens due to customer-orientation trend and putting customers’ values first.
