item “I try to get the meaning of new terms in Mathematics as I encounter them for the first
time” registered the highest mean of 3.69 (Good). This finding implies that students are eager to
know the meaning of new mathematical terms they encounter for the first time. Moreover, the
item “I can identify clarifying details in each lesson/topic in my learning materials in
Mathematics”, registered the lowest mean of 3.28 (average). This implies that students can
typically identify clarifying details in each lesson/topic in their learning materials in
Mathematics.

The overall mean of the respondents’ level of study habits in terms of reading learning materials
is 3.51 interpreted as “Good”. This signifies that students employ a good study habits in terms of
reading learning materials. This is a good indication since according to Chuks, Subair, And
Chima (2017) reading is crucial in each understudy’s life, material to students’ academic
performance. It will aid them to be reformed into constant learners
