1. Introduction
The program TCTOOLS makes available a range of functions which are required
when the TC600 is used for preparing and processing the electronic acquisition
of data.

The CODING EDITOR can be used to compile code lists which are tailored to
your individual requirements. A code list can be transferred to the TC600; it
permits additional information to be captured while the measurement is being
performed with the TC600.

The DATA CONVERSION enables survey data to be converted into a simple

ASCII format so that this data can be read into a standard program.
Conversely, coordinates available in a simple ASCII format can be converted
into the GSI format used by Leica survey instruments.

With DATA TRANSFER, you can transfer code lists or coordinates from the PC
to the TC600, and measurement data, code lists and coordinates from the TC600
to the PC.

2. Installation
The installation of this program can be done on virtually any PC. No specific
requirements are made with respect to the hardware.
By entering the command A:\INSTALL or B:\INSTALL an installation
software is started, which copies all the necessary files to the harddrive
of your PC.
The installation software allows you to specify both the drive and the sub-
directory, to which the program should be copied to.
Select the language you feel most comfortable in. The program text can easily
be translated into other languages. Contact the local Leica agency if this is
necessary.
In order for the program to function smoothly, the entry for the path variable
is extended and the environmental variable LEICA is set in the AUTOEXEC.BAT
file. You should answer the corresponding question in the installation
software with a ' YES '.
If the AUTOEXEC.BAT file contains a command that automatically starts
another program, the line containing
SET LEICA=
must be copied to the beginning of the file. In order to do this, any editor
( for example EDIT in DOS ) can be used.
After the installation, the PC must be re-booted to activated the changes in the
AUTOEXEC.BAT.

3. The Program
The program is started by entering TCTOOLS. Further to this, the program is
self-explanatory and does not need to be discussed in any more detail.

Das Programm TCTools stellt eine Reihe von Funktionen zur Verf�gung, die
beim Einsatz des TC600 zur Vorbereitung und Bearbeitung der elektronischen
Datenerfassung ben�tigt werden.

Mit dem CODIERUNGS EDITOR k�nnen Sie Codelisten erstellen, die auf Ihrer
induviduellen Anforderungen zugeschnitten sind. Eine Codeliste kann zum
TC600 �bertragen werden und erm�glicht die Erfassung von
Zusatzinformationen w�hrend der Messung im TC600.

Mit der DATENKONVERTIERUNG k�nnen Messdaten in ein einfaches ASCII

- Format konvertiert werden, um die Daten in einem Standardprogramm einlesen
zu k�nnen. Umgekehrt k�nnen Koordinaten, die in einem einfachen ASCII -
Format vorliegen, in das von Leica Vermessungsinstrumenten verwendete GSI
Format konvertiert werden.

Mit dem DATENTRANSFER k�nnen Sie sowohl Codelisten oder Koordinaten

vom PC zum TC600 und Messdaten, Codelisten und Koordinaten vom TC600
zum PC �bertragen.

2. Installation
Die Installation des Programms ist auf nahezu jedem PC m�glich. Es werden
keine besonderen Anforderungen an die Hardware gestellt.
Mit der Eingabe des Befehls A:\INSTALL oder B:\INSTALL wird ein
Installationsprogramm gestartet, das alle notwendigen Dateien auf die
Festplatte Ihres PC kopiert.
Innerhalb des Installationsprogramms k�nnen Sie sowohl das Laufwerk, als auch
das Unterverzeichnis bestimmen, in das das Programm kopiert wird.
W�hlen Sie bei der Installation die Sprache aus, die Sie am besten verstehen.
Die Texte f�r das Programm k�nnen auf einfache Weise in andere Sprachen
�bersetzt werden. Wenden Sie sich in diesem Fall an die �rtliche Leica
Vertretung.
Damit das Programm einwandfrei funktioniert, wird in der Datei
AUTOEXEC.BAT der Eintrag f�r die Pfadvariable erweitert und die
Umgebungsvariable LEICA gesetzt. Sie sollten die entsprechende Frage im
Installationsprogramm mit "JA" beantworten.
Wenn die Datei AUTOEXEC.BAT einen Befehl enth�lt, der ein anderes
Programm automatisch startet, muss die an das Ende der Datei geschriebene
Zeile
SET LEICA=.....
an den Anfang der Datei kopiert werden. Dazu k�nnen Sie einen beliebigen
Editor (z.B. EDIT) verwenden.
Nach der Installation muss der PC neu gestartet werden, damit die �nderungen
in der Datei AUTOEXEC.BAT wirksam werden.

3. Programmablauf
Das Programm wird durch Eingabe von TCTOOLS gestartet. Der weitere Ablauf
ist selbsterkl�rend und bedarf keiner weiteren Erl�uterung.

El programa TCTOOLS ofrece una serie de funciones que se necesitan para la
preparaci�n y el tratamiento de los datos al trabajar con el TC600.

El EDITOR DE CODIGOS permite crear listas de c�digos seg�n los requisitos

individuales. Una lista de c�digos puede transferirse al TC600 y guardar
informaciones adicionales.

Con la CONVERSION DE DATOS se convierten datos de medici�n a un

formato ASCII, a fin de facilitar la lectura de los datos en un programa
est�ndar.
Asimismo es posible convertir coordenadas de formato ASCII al formato GSI
empleado por los instrumentos de medici�n Leica.

Con la TRANSFERENCIA DE DATOS puede transferir listas de c�digos o

coordenadas del ordenador al TC600 y datos de medici�n, listas de c�digos y
coordenadas del TC600 al ordenador.

2. Instalaci�n
Puede instalar el programa en pr�cticamente cualquier ordenador, pues no
existe requisito especial alguno para el hardware.
Al introducir el comando A:\ INSTALL o B\ INSTALL se activa un programa
de instalaci�n que copia todos los ficheros necesarios en el disco duro de su
ordenador.
El programa de instalaci�n le permite determinar tanto la unidad, como el
subdirectorio en el que va a copiar CONVTRAN.
Durante la instalaci�n puede elegir el idioma que m�s le convenga. Los textos
para el programa pueden traducirse f�cilmente a otros idiomas. En tal caso,
p�ngase en contacto con la agencia Leica m�s pr�xima.
Para que funcione el programa sin problemas, la entrada de la variable de
camino se ampl�a autom�ticamente en el fichero AUTOEXEC.BAT y se fija la
variable de ambiente LEICA.
Conteste afirmativamente a la pregunta del programa de instalaci�n.
Si el fichero AUTEXEC.BAT contiene un comando que activa autom�ticamente
otro programa, debe copiar la l�nea
SET LEICA=.....
que se encuentra al final del fichero, al comienzo del mismo. Para ello, puede
emplear cualquier editor (p.ej. EDIT).
Una vez acaba la instalaci�n, debe volver a activar el ordenador, para que se
confirmen los cambios efectuados en el fichero AUTOEXEC.BAC.

3. Flujo del programa

El programa se activa introduciendo TCTOOLS. A partir de ese momento, el
programa le guiar� mediante sus mensajes, di�logos y funciones de ayuda.

1. Introduction
Le programme TCTOOLS dispose d'une s�rie de fonctions n�cessaires � la
pr�paration et au traitement �lectronique des donn�es avec le TC600.

L'EDITEUR DE CODES permet d'�tablir des listes de codes selon les exigences.
Une liste de codes peut �tre transf�r�e au TC600 et permet de saisir des
informations suppl�mentaires lors des mesures avec le TC600.

La fonction CONVERSION DE DONNEES a pour but de convertir les mesures

en un format ASCII pouvant �tre lu par un programme standard. Inversement, les
coordonn�es disponibles en format ASCII peuvent �tre converties dans le format
GSI utilis� par les instruments de topographie Leica.

La fonction TRANSFERT DE DONNEES autorise le transfert de listes de codes

ou de coordonn�es du PC au TC600 et des mesures, listes de codes et
coordonn�es du TC600 au PC.

2. Installation
Le programme peut �tre install� sur pratiquement tout PC. Le mat�riel ne doit
en effet pas remplir des exigences sp�cifiques.
Une fois que vous avez tap� A:\INSTALL ou B:\INSTALL, le programme
d'installation copiera tous les fichiers requis sur le disque dur de votre PC.
A l'int�rieur du programme d'installation, vous avez la possibilit� de
d�terminer le lecteur et le sous-r�pertoire dans lesquels vous souhaitez copier
le programme.
S�lectionnez, lors de l'installation, la langue que vous comprenez le mieux.
Les textes du programme peuvent �tre traduits facilement dans d'autres langues.
Adressez-vous � cet effet � la repr�sentation locale de Leica.
Pour que le programme fonctionne correctement, le syst�me �largit l'entr�e pour
la variable du chemin d'acc�s et fixe la variable d'environnement LEICA dans le
fichier "AUTOEXEC.BAT" R�pondez par "OUI" � la question correspondante
pos�e par le programme d'installation.
Si le fichier AUTOEXEC. BAT contient une instruction assurant le lancement
automatique d'un autre programme, la ligne
SET LEICA = ....
�crite en fin de fichier doit �tre copi�e au d�but du fichier. Vous pouvez � cet
effet utiliser un �diteur quelconque (p. ex. EDIT).
Apr�s l'installation du programme, il faut relancer le PC de fa�on � ce que les
modifications du fichier "AUTOEXEC.BAT" soient valid�es.

3. D�roulement du programme
Pour lancer le programme, tapez TCTOOLS. Le d�roulement ne n�cessite pas
d'autres explications.
La fonction Aide int�gr�e pourra, le cas �ch�ant, vous fournir des informations
suppl�mentaires.
