I. INTRODUCTION
Nowadays climate change has become worse and because of that there are
frequent floods because of the sudden downpour of heavy rain and sometimes at the
same time as the water rises or high tide. Floods, which are mostly brought on by
heavy rains, melting snow, or persistent showers combined with copious amounts of
rain, present a serious threat to people and their property. The only effective and
adequately adaptable early warning system for weather whims, sudden and rapid
commencement, and dramatic advancement of extreme weather events is a warning
system based on electronic sirens. We decided to make or design a digital logic
circuit to warn people of rising water or a flood and we call it the “FLOOD ALARM
SYSTEM”. Our main area in the industry of digital logic circuits is the electronics
automated processing of Digital Logic Circuit designs using logic circuits. The
Design of the logic circuit is to put a sensor in a river and when the water rises there
will be a siren that will on to warn people and there are two sounds of the siren the
1st warning sound is to warn people to be prepared and when the 2nd warning sound
they have to evacuate or go to high grounds.

The company that can use our Flood Alarm System is the weather station,
municipality, and barangays that are prone to a flood. It will help more people to be
safe in floods. Our main concentration is the Flood Alarm System, used to warn of
a rise in water levels. The system comprises sensors that are deployed in cities or
any area of interest. The sensors can be connected to either the main electricity or
can be solar-powered. Many places in our country are experiencing floods. This
Flood alarm system is a big help.

Flood warning systems installed near any major canal or body of water give
important information that can protect property and save lives. Of fact, the most
successful flood warning techniques go beyond installing gages and telemetry
equipment and utilize skilled personnel and well-established procedures to offer the
earliest warning regarding whether a flood is predicted, when it will occur, and how
severe it will be. On the other hand, the goal of our Flood Alarm System is to warn
or help the people to know if there was a flood coming. To monitor how the water
rises at the river to warn people to get prepared and be safe.
II. APPLICATION OF THE DEVELOPED DIGITAL LOGIC
CIRCUIT DESIGN

Who can use digital logic circuit design?

The Flood Alarm Circuit Design could be of use to a large number of people
and businesses, allowing them to better prepare for and respond to flooding
emergencies. Homeowners and business owners, among other people, may profit
from the design by obtaining advance information of impending floods so that
they can take actions to avoid being harmed by the flooding. They can save a
significant amount of money while also having peace of mind that their belongings
are secure. Not only is the Flood Alarm Circuit Design helpful for private homes
and apartments, but also for small businesses and large corporations. Specifically,
facility managers can use the layout to keep an eye on large commercial locations
such as offices, warehouses, and factories to look for indications of water damage
and to take preventative measures. This can help them avoid costly repairs in the
future. This can reduce the likelihood of operations being disrupted, as well as the
costs associated with repairing any damage and the money lost as a result. It is
possible that the Flood Alarm Circuit Design will also be beneficial to a country
as a whole. If there is less damage caused by the flood, then there will be less
money spent on repairs and cleanup after the storm. Because of this, resources,
such as money and time, can be redirected toward other significant undertakings,
such as enhancing currently operating facilities or initiating brand-new strategies
for community improvement. By utilizing this design to minimize the health
hazards and environmental damage caused by floods, a country's population
health and well-being can be improved, leading to an overall improvement in the
country's overall standard of living.

What is the purpose?

An alarm will be sounded by the Flood Alarm Circuit Design if water is
discovered in an area where it was not expected to be. The purpose of the plan is
to act as an early warning system in the event that flooding or water damage
occurs, with the intention of making it possible to take precautionary actions. To
protect one's property and belongings, one can turn off the water supply, move
fragile items to higher ground, and take a variety of other preventative steps. The
Flood Alarm Circuit Design intends to accomplish two goals: first, it will allow
people to spend less money and less emotional energy dealing with the aftermath
of flooding; second, it will provide people with some relief from worrying; and
third, it will provide people with some relief from worrying about flooding.

What automation can assist the user in reaching its goal in terms of the
automated process being offered by the design Digital Logic Circuit design?

In order to assist users in avoiding flood damage, the Flood Alarm Circuit
Design includes automated functions. The following tasks are able to be
mechanized with the help of this design: The circuit has been preconfigured to
activate an alert in the event that it finds water in a particular location and triggers
the detection of its existence. Notification: When the alarm is triggered, the design
of the product can either emit a sound, flash an LED, or send a message to a nearby
electronic device such as a smartphone. Reducing or preventing the Amount of
Damage: For the purpose of minimizing or preventing the effects of water damage,
the system can be configured to either shut off the supply of water or start a sump
pump automatically, depending on the preferences of the user. Because it makes
use of automation, the Flood Alarm Circuit Design is an enhanced way for
detecting and preventing water damage caused by floods in areas that are prone to
flooding. It makes it easier for those who use it to stay up with the latest news and
take prompt action in the event that flooding occurs, thereby mitigating the impact
of the catastrophe.

III. DESCRIPTION OF THE ENTIRE DIGITAL LOGIC CIRCUIT DESIGN

1. Monitoring system that asses water level even in times of adverse weather

conditions.

2. Warning alarm that is capable of giving an early information to people in order

for them to prepare and take necessary actions.

3. Capable of providing emergency alarm in times of rapid increase in water level

that people's assets and lives are in danger.

V. COMPONENTS USED IN DIGITAL LOGIC CIRCUIT DESIGN

The set/reset type flip-flop is triggered to a high state. This can be implemented as a NAND
gate latch or a NOR gate latch and as a clocked version. One disadvantage of the S/R flip-flop
is that the input S=R=0 gives ambiguous results and must be avoided. The J-K flip-flop gets
around that problem.

Ground negative in circuit with one battery with a positive and a negative terminal, we usually
refer to the negative terminal as ground. This makes the circuit diagram much cleaner when
there are a lot of connections to minus.

AND gate is a logic gate having two or more inputs and a single output. An AND gate operates
on logical multiplication rules. In this gate, if either of the inputs is low, then the output is also
low. If all of the inputs are high, then the output will also be high.

legs and in the interconnection between smoke detectors that are hard-wired into the power
system.
