INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
his paper consists of three questions.
Answer all questions
Drawings and answers should be made and written in the spaces provided.
Use a sharp HB pencil for your drawings.
Coloured pencils or crayons should not be used.
No additional sheets of writing paper are to be inserted in this booklet.
Work on additional sheets will not be marked.
(b) To 2cm3 of solution P in a clean test tube add 2cm3 of solution Q and
incubate the mixture in a water bath maintained at a temperature between
350C and 400C. Leave the mixture in the bath for 20 minutes. (meanwhile
continue with other work)
After 20 minutes remove the incubated mixture from the water bath and
divide it into two portions in separate test tubes labelled 1 and 2.
Carry out the tests in table 2 and record your results in the table.
