Vision

I. Outline of the Business

I.A. Introduction

The Jotunheim Piglet Production was founded on January 1, 2022, by Lady Ann Espartero, Jude
Francis Banusing, and John Louise Espartero, three agriculture students. They decided to start this
business in order to provide quality piglets to their kabarangays and neighboring barangays by using a
unique and modern method of handling pigs to venture into mass piglet production.

Because huge monsters may be found in Jotunheim, this firm is called Jotunheim Piglet
Production. We only sell healthy and large piglets that are popular with the populace, exactly like in
Norse Mythology.

I.C. Value Proposition (Product)

PigletAgent
Market production is the main product,
Market but the company also offers by-products
Agent Market such
Agentas compost
and Clean Energy or Biogas, which may be used to replace LPG. This can happen when we put pig waste
in a huge cylinder to gradually produce it and compost materials. We also sell culled boars and sows at a
discount, and if we can't help but create runt pigs, the best thing to do is sell them at a discount to
prevent losing money.

It is unquestionably popular among the general public because the high quality of the litter,
particularly their health, which is the primary reason for its sale. It can be purchased at a reasonable
cost, especially for small-scale hog farmers whose funds are limited.

I.D. Marketing Strategy Introduction

The primary target are the small and large-scale hog growers in the municipality. They are the
top priority for our product because it has been studied by the team that the majority of the pigs they
are buying from local piglet producers are of poor quality. They will be supplied with quality piglets that
are product of our innovative technology.

Product - It will be ensured that only pure breeds of pigs will be used such as duroc and landrace
breeds because these are good to make sire and for the sow. We can use either Yorkshire, Landrace,
Peitrain or Hydrid because of the great mothering abilities, large littersize, and can produce heavier
piglets.

Price – It will be established ranging from 3,000-5000 depends on the size of the piglet.

Place - there is no need to deliver it to the market because they will pick it up from the
enterprise site.

Promotion - It can be promoted through many platforms such as social media, radio stations,
through traders, or person-to-person contacts.

I.E. Risk

1. Production risks include herd health and performance.

2. Serious financial consequences occur with high death loss, usually from a disease outbreak,
could be a feed mis-formulation, contamination or other quality problem.

3. Social risks become real on the farm if there is a failure from: welfare audit.

To monitor every movement of the pigs, put swine experts to pay attention to even small things.

I.F. Business Operation Plan

To begin with, the business will start with two sires and ten sows that will mature and be able to
be bred at the age of 170-220 days, but they will be culled if they do not show signs of maturity within
these days. After that, when they are on gestating period for about 115 days for them to give birth, and
pre-weaning for another thirty days for piglets, and additional 15-20 days for weaning period of litters
after it would be finally disposed to prospect buyers

The head farmer, John Louise D. Espartero, will be in charge of all operations related on the growth of
the hogs that will be utilized as sire and sow. These activities include immunization, feed calculation,
sanitation, and others. Market agents Mark Frederick C. Suravilla and Joe Rex D. Delasan will manage
promotion, purchasing of food and health items, and transportation.

We have signed a collaboration agreement with the Department of Agriculture, and we agree to the
terms under which they can commercialize our product if they agree to assist the business. The
agreements also include more investigations and experiments on our animal.
