Background
Potatoes are a starchy, tuberous, important staple food crop in the
world and especially in the Philippines. Potatoes are grown in a wide
range of soils. However, an ideal organic matter for its cultivation
process must be deep, crumbly, and well-drained soils. Potatoes are
used for several industrial purposes and served in different fast food
services as a side dish together with a meal.
Churros are a traditional fried-dough pastry with Spanish and
Portuguese origins. They are considered snacks in the Philippines and
Ibero-America. Churros are thin, sometimes knotted, or long and thick.
It is normally accompanied with a dip like champurrado, hot chocolate,
dulce de leche, and often sprinkled sugar on top. It is prepared freshly
and sold hot in street stands.
The dough used in making churros is a mixture of flour, water, and
salt and some variations make use of potato dough. The proponents
decided to use potatoes native in the Philippines to give the churros a
more vivid Filipino touch.
Business Name
A trade name, trading name, or business name is a pseudonym
used by companies to perform their business under a name that differs
from the registered, legal name of the business.
It is also a combination of words or symbols that uniquely identifies
a business or firm instead of a good or service (also called “trade
name”)
“Chupotatoes” is the proponents’ business name. It is a word play
on the words “churros” which is Spanish and Mexican pastry
resembling a doughnut made from deep-friend unsweetened dough
and sprinkled sugar and “potatoes”.

Objectives
Objectives are specific procedures for achieving a goal. These are
the steps that you need to take in order to achieve your desired goals.
1. To serve the customers with innovative churros with a choice
of dips or ice cream.
2. To enhance the skills in handling the business.
3. To create new flavors and combinations while playing with
colors and taste.
Possible Problems

 Fast food chain is very new and not yet established.

 Funds are available but very limited as much was spent in
promotion and store openings.
 Chupotatoes offer a product which is based off another that is
already available on the market or is much more established.
 Customers tend to not take a risk in trying our food because of
the unfamiliarity.
 Publicity depends on word-of-mouth or positive social media
posts and reviews.

Threats

 Competitors may have similar concepts of the business.

 Competitors may have similar price-based of the products.
 Other competitors who have huge advertising budgets can
threaten this business’ campaign.
 Lack of attention from customers which prefer other known food
stalls.
 The arrival of some new French fries’ food production business
or fast food restaurant in same location where ours is located.
 Customers changing their lifestyles toward healthier foods.
Schedules
Chupotatoes will execute the following:
1. The store will open at 10:00 in the morning and close at 9:00
in the evening.
2. Business hours will be from 10 am onwards.
3. Each employee will render 8 or above working hours every
day.
Financial Plan / Estimated Budget

One of the most important factors should be given considerations in

starting up the business is the mode of the financing, for it is greatly
affects the business.

Every business should have a proper understanding for its financial

conditions wherein it will be able to cope up with all business
transactions that the company engages in.
