Dear Human, Resources,

I am writing in response to available positions for RPNs in the Operating Room, Job ID: 2116, the
position was posted under job listings on the PRHC website. I have worked at PRHC as a nursing student
in the past, so I am familiar with facility.

As a future nurse I plan to not only care for people but to also create an environment where they are
recognized and valued as an individual; along with also supporting them the best I can.

I am currently in my last semester of the PN program at Fleming College and will be taking licencing
exam with the CNO in a few months. This semester, I am have a clinical placement at Ross Memorial
Hospital on the surgical unit and will have the opportunity to shadow a nurse in the OR for the day, this
will give me the opportunity to see how an operating room functions and introduce me to that
environment. I have also taken a CPR/First Aid training course with The Canadian Red Cross. I have not
taken a post-grad OR course or and A-O course, however, I am willing to do any additional training that
is asked of me, or I feel I need.
I exhibit basic knowledge of OR procedures and equipment and I am interested in furthering my
education. I am a hard worker and can prioritise many tasks in a fast-paced environment. I’m also able to
work independently, along with collaborative with a team.
