Prompt: Briefly discuss on Google Now

What is Google Now?

Google now is a currently outdated feature of Google search that was available in both Android and iOS.
Its task was to gather, predict and deliver information to users based on their search habits or by
recognizing repeated actions that a user performs on the device.

How did Google Now function?

Google Now was implemented as an aspect of the Google Search application and assumed to display
more relevant information to the user in the form of specialized cards including activity summary,
birthday, concerts, places and sports.

What is the current status of Google Now?

Due to its lack of utility, Google began phasing it out in order to replace it with Google Assistant, a
significantly more powerful intelligent personal assistant capable of two-way interaction with the user.

The main difference between Google Now and Google Assistant is that Google Now is a non-platform
specific voice activated personal assistant that can look up anything you need to know on google but
lacks the ability to connect personally with its uses unlike Google Assistant, that has a friendlier, more
conversational interface.
