Point of View of a Covid 19 Survivor

The present COVID-19 epidemic has impacted all of us. Our many social identities and the social groupings to which we
belong influence our social inclusion and, as a result, our vulnerability to epidemics.
There is this local practice of curing oneself, proven by people testifying for its effectiveness. It is called “Suob” or
steam inhalation. It is said to be very effective especially to those who have strong tolerance in smelling. In this process, a person

Barangay Sta. Lucia is one among the 44 barangays of the Municipality of Gerona, Province of
Tarlac. In the years 1913 to 1918 the people were happy and contented for they had a bountiful harvest.
The happiness and contentment of the people were suddenly broken when a dreadful sickness, smallpox
spread in the community. Barangay Sta. Lucia sought help from the Sanitary Division (Sanidad).
Mr. Ladislao Taberna, the sanitary inspector who was assigned in the place assembled all the
