Introduction:
PESTEL study incorporates environmental aspects such as climate, geographic location,
shareholder and consumer values, environmental offset, weather, and global climate change that
may have an impact on a company's operations(Kansongue, Njuguna and Vertigans, 2023).

Industry Analysis:

Pakistan, one of the top exporters of fruit products internationally, has difficulties with its
exports as a result of frequent lockdowns and associated trade restriction measures everywhere

(Pakistan Fruits & Vegetables Market Analysis - Industry Report - Trends, Size & Share, n.d.).
The FAO estimates that 9 million tons of fruit were produced in 2018. Oranges came in second

with an output of 1.5 million tons, and mangoes produced the most at 2.3 million tons(Pakistan
Fruits & Vegetables Market Analysis - Industry Report - Trends, Size & Share, n.d.).

Policies:
Appropriate interventions must be developed at the policy and operating levels. Small and mid-
sized farmers in particular need to have access to more affordable inputs to enable them to test
out novel varieties and techniques (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), n.d.).

Additionally, export-focused policies must be put into effect. The suggested action plan (PoA)
adequately meets the aforementioned demands and includes all measures required for this
sector's quick development. Additionally, the PoA offers a solid fusion of government activities
and support for organizations and entities that represent farmers and exporters. The association
will provide the aims outlined in the PoA its full support and cooperation (Trade Development
Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), n.d.).

SWOT:
Environmental issues and SWOT analysis are related in the following ways:

An organization's reputation and brand image can be improved by a firm commitment to

environmental sustainability(Shadiq, 2023). This attracts clients and investors who place a high
value on environmental responsibility(Liem and Arief, 2023).Using environmentally friendly
procedures and technologies can boost productivity and cut expenses(Taris and Wandebori,
2021). Lack of investment in environmentally responsible initiatives can limit a company's
competitiveness in a market that is rapidly changing(Hidalgo-Triana et al., 2023). Failure to
adequately address environmental issues can lead to legal liabilities, fines, and bad press that
harm a company's reputation and financial performance(Hoque, Brown and Hoque, 2023).
Increasing consumer knowledge of environmental issues may open up new markets for eco-
friendly goods and services(Vivek et al., 2023). Government incentives and subsidies for eco-
conscious businesses may provide them a competitive edge(Tsilingeridis, Moustaka and Vakali,
2023). Natural disasters and extreme weather events can disrupt supply chains and damage
facilities, resulting in financial losses(Pires et al., 2023). A negative public perception of a
company's environmental impact can harm its reputation and brand image(Siew, 2023). Strict

environmental regulations can increase operating costs and reduce profitability(Miralles
Sempere, 2023).
