IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR)

IN
SWIMMING

GAME CHARACTERISTICS
 Swimming event will be a 2x50m relay (1 lap per player).
 The fastest team to finish the relay will be declared as winners.
 Heats will be applied in case of more than 10 entries participated.
 Freestyle strokes will be applied.

QUALIFICATIONS
 Participants must be a DHVSU employee whether teaching or non-teaching personnel.
 Participants must be assessed by the university physician and marked as “fit to play” in order to
participate.

PARTICIPANTS
 Each team shall be composed of one (1) male and one (1) female.
 2 pairs (men and women) can be set as official entries per team.

UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT

 Participants may wear any swimming attire or anything that they deem comfortable.
 Swimming googles is a must. Swimming cap is optional.

DISQUALIFICATION AND PENALTIES

 One (1) false start will be warned and second (2) false start will serve as a ground for
disqualification.
 No cutting of lanes (changing of lanes during the competition).
 Any disruptive action or behavior of the participant/s which breaks the spirit of sportsmanship shall
mean a disqualification.
