YEARS OF ILCA RACE

1 RULES
1.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in The
Racing Rules of Sailing (2021-2024)
1.2 National prescriptions and individual Class Rules will apply.
1.3 If there is conflict between the Notice of Race and the Sailing
Instructions (SI’s), the SI’s will take precedence.

2 CLASSES AND DIVISIONS

2.1 The participating classes and divisions shall be:

2.2.1 ILCA - Open
2.2.2 ILCA 7 (Laser Standard) - Men, Senior
2.2.3 ILCA 6 (Laser Radial) –Women, Men, Youth 21 and below
2.2.4 ILCA 4 (Laser 4.7) – Boy, Girl 17 and below
2.2.5 RSOne – Open
2.2.6 6m – Men, Women

2.3 Age Divisions:

2.3.1 Senior shall be 50 years of age or older, in the year of competition
(born 1971 or earlier).
2.3.2 A ILCA 4 (Laser 4.7) shall be under 17 years of age and born 2004 or
later

3 NOTICES TO COMPETITORS
Notices to competitors will be posted at the Sign out and Sign in
desk located at Constant Wind Seasports Centre Zone1 and 2 and
National Sailing Centre Zone 1,2,3 and 4.

4 CHANGES TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Any change to the SIs will be posted at least 120 minutes before
the scheduled start of racing on the day that it takes effect.

5 SCHEDULE

6 CLASS FLAGS
6.1 Class Flags for Laser will be white flags displaying with a startburst
logo.
6.2 Class Flag for Windsurfing will be a Flag with RSOne logo

7 START
7.1 The START will be according RRS 26
7.2 The starting line is between Committee boat and Pin end Boat, both
flying a orange flag
7.3 All ILCA Classes will start together.
7.4 All Windsurfing Classes will start together

8 COURSES
Start – Between Committee boat and Pin end Boat
Red Mark to Port
Green Mark to Starboard
NEA WRM EC beacon to Starboard
NEA ECP beacon to Port
NEA WRM EC Beacon to Port
Finish – Between Committee boat and Green Mark

9 SHORTENING COURSE

During the race, the race committee may shorten the course with an
“S” flag under RRS 32.2 . The finishing line will be between the Race
Committee boat and the rounding mark.

10 THE FINISH
10.1 The finishing line will be as described in SI.8.
10.2 When conditions are unfavourable, the finishing line race committee
boat may hold its position by use of engines. It will not be grounds for
redress. This changes WCR 62.1(a).

11 TIME LIMITS AND TARGET TIMES

11.1 Time limits and target times in 120 minutes for all classes
12 SAFETY REGULATIONS
12.1 The Safety System (Sign OUT/Sign IN) is in force:
12.1.1 When going out to race, each competitor intending to race
shall personally sign against their name and/or check their sail
number.
12.1.2 On returning ashore, each competitor shall personally
sign, against their name and/or sail number, within the protest
time limit.
12.1.3 Sign-out and Sign-in lists will be at the Sign out and Sign
in desk located at Constant Wind Seasports Centre Zone 1 and 2 and
National Sailing Centre Zone 1,2,3 and 4.
12.2 All Sailors and Windsurfers shall wear a Personal Flotation Device when
racing.

13 PROTEST COMMITTEE
An ‘Independent Protest Committee’ will be appointed by the Race
Organiser.

14 SCORING
According to finish order for all classes

15 PRIZES
15.1 Prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors of each class
/division.

15.2 All entries will entitle a lucky draw for 10 pieces 50 years
Souvenir Bag.
Sailors need not be present to collect the prizes. Prize
winner will be informed by whatapp.
15.3 Only prize winner will be invited to the prize presentation a
Constant Wind Seasports Centre at

16 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the event entirely at their own risk, see
WCR 4 -Decision to Race. The organising authority or any of their
officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or
representatives will not accept any liability for material damage or
personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to,
during or after the event.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION FOR SMM

A SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURE

-No Spectators and Parents are allowed in the venue.

-All sailors will launch for their respective club. Sailor will adhere
according to the club protocol for Social Distancing.
B PET /ART

All participant are require by the SMM regulation to do their PET/ART

the day before the race. All result are to be submitted to the race office
by 29 October 2021 by 5 pm
Participant without PET/ART test result will not be allow to participate
in the race.
