SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

1 RULES
1.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in The
Racing Rules of Sailing (2021-2024)
1.2 National prescriptions and individual Class Rules will apply.
1.3 If there is conflict between the Notice of Race and the Sailing
Instructions (SI’s), the SI’s will take precedence.
3 NOTICES TO COMPETITORS
Notices to competitors will be posted at the Sign out and Sign in
desk located at Constant Wind Seasports Centre Zone1 and 2 and
National Sailing Centre Zone 1,2,3 and 4.
5 SCHEDULE

Sat 30 Oct 2021 1400 All ILCA Classes
1405 ALL Windsurfing Classes
1630 Last possible warning signal
1730 Prize Giving and Lucky Draw
Only prize winner is invited
6 CLASS FLAGS
6.1 Class Flags for Laser will be white flags displaying with a startburst
logo.
6.2 Class Flag for Windsurfing will be a Flag with RSOne logo
7 START
7.1 The START will be according RRS 26
7.2 The starting line is between Committee boat and Pin end Boat, both
flying a orange flag
7.3 All ILCA Classes will start together.
7.4 All Windsurfing Classes will start together
8 COURSES
Start – Between Committee boat and Pin end Boat
Red Mark to Port
Green Mark to Starboard
NEA WRM EC beacon to Starboard
NEA ECP beacon to Port
NEA WRM EC Beacon to Port
Finish – Between Committee boat and Green Mark
9 SHORTENING COURSE
During the race, the race committee may shorten the course with an
“S” flag under RRS 32.2 . The finishing line will be between the Race
Committee boat and the rounding mark.
10 THE FINISH
10.1 The finishing line will be as described in SI.8.
10.2 When conditions are unfavourable, the finishing line race committee
boat may hold its position by use of engines. It will not be grounds for
redress. This changes WCR 62.1(a).
13 PROTEST COMMITTEE
An ‘Independent Protest Committee’ will be appointed by the Race
Organiser.
14 SCORING
According to finish order for all classes
15 PRIZES
15.1 Prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors of each class
/division.
15.2 All entries will entitle a lucky draw for 10 pieces 50 years
Souvenir Bag.
Sailors need not be present to collect the prizes. Prize
winner will be informed by whatapp.
15.3 Only prize winner will be invited to the prize presentation a

16 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the event entirely at their own risk, see
WCR 4 -Decision to Race. The organising authority or any of their
officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or
representatives will not accept any liability for material damage or
personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to,
during or after the event.
