BRIEF NOTE

I am Vijay Srinivas and currently pursuing 2nd year of B.A.LLB (Hons) from Damodaram Sanjivayya
National Law University Visakhapatnam. My areas of interest are criminal law, constitutional law,
Jurisprudence and civil aviation law. In my first internship, I had the privilege to intern under Rakesh
Sinha Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. In which, I developed an interest in legislative drafting as it
requires a lot of care and diligence must be exercised in drafting enactments to reduce as much as
possible the probable difficulties and confusion that may befall the future administration and
interpretation of statutes. The ability to impact society through well-written legislation is unparalleled.
Thus, the central conceptual theme of legislative drafting is to under the community and enacts laws and
statutes following the present situation. I can gain the acquaintance with the subject of interpretation as
well as with the ground principles of drafting. The main aim of applying for the internship is to witness
the thought process of drafters.
