SOP 4: Workflow for writers

Introduction
This SOP will go through the entire process of writing an article, from receiving the article brief
to publishing it on the website. There are 6 main steps in this process.

#1 View the article brief on Google Docs

A link to the article brief will be shared with you, which will look something like this:

The article brief contains the main H2 headers that should be included in your article, as well as
some key pointers for each H2 header.

There may be some H3 headers which may be included in the article for specific sub-questions.

I will need you to read through the brief and understand the main questions that form the article.
If you are unsure of anything related to the brief, please ask for clarifications.
The brief is only a guide, and if you have other questions you want to add in, or if you want to
remove any questions, please clarify as well before proceeding to write the article.

#2 Write your article draft on Google Docs

The draft article should be written on a separate Google Docs, based on the content brief that
was given.

For each article, ensure that you have formatted each snippet target in according to what was
mentioned in the content brief.

Before submitting your draft for review, please go through the ‘Before Submission Checklist’
provided.

#3 Amend the article based on comments given

Comments will be given on how you can further improve the article.

Please amend your article based on the comments given. If you have any clarifications, please
ask them as well.

The article amendment process may take multiple rounds before it is approved to be published
on the website.

#4 Receive payment via UpWork

Once you article has been approved to be published, you will be paid accordingly on UpWork.
