King’s Hospital Recording Studio Guidelines

Multi-purpose recording studio for sound recordings, audio editing, production and video
editing.

 Key holders: Ciarán Kelly, Dave Mullen, Robert Creevey

 Maximum capacity: 6
 Studio must be booked into calendar by emailing details to
music@thekingshospital.ie
 Studio must be locked after use at all times, and all items removed from storage
returned.
 Students must always be accompanied by an adult, either in the control room or in
the drum room.
 Any staff member using the studio should be sufficiently skilled with hardware and
software to avoid misuse or damage. CPD can be made available upon request.
 No equipment should be removed from the studio. Inventory will be checked
regularly.
 Fixed equipment (computer, mixing desk, keyboard, vocal mic, speakers, chairs,
stands etc) cannot be moved from its set place in the studio.
 Studio computer should not be used for non-recording related activities such as web
browsing, emails etc. Staff or students should not log in to online accounts at any
time.
 Apps approved for usage: Logic Pro, Protools, ForScore, Musescore, iMovie,
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
 An filing system has been set up by the administrator; please save work as
appropriate.
 Any issues with the studio such as misuse, missing/damaged equipment or failing
hardware/software should be reported immediately to CK.
