Monday

Mr. Power and his wife Jessica go to Europe for the first time in their lives. Jessica
doesn’t want to travel by air, but there isn’t any other rapid way to go there from
Washington. Mr. Power loves flying, because when he flies, he usually sleeps all the
time. Jessica doesn’t sleep and feel afraid.

Wednesday afternoon

Mr. Power and his wife are in Barcelona. They don’t want to take a tour. They walk on
the streets by their own and enjoy the city life. There are lots of interesting places here.
Mr. Power looks at his wife. She is relaxed and happy. She doesn’t talk about their fly.
She laughs and buys souvenirs in small shops that they visit. The people in Barcelona
are friendly and fun. Mr. and Mrs. Power make new friends in a small cafeteria near the
main square. Their new friends are from Argentina, but they speak English very well.
They invite John and Jessica to a night club. Jessica is happy. John is not very happy.
He is tired and wants to stay in their hotel.

Wednesday night

Jessica dances with her new friends. Mr. Power is in the hotel. He doesn’t sleep. He
feels lonely. He decides to go to the night club, too. He calls the taxi and choose the
clothes. Now, he wears jeans and a red t-shirt. He goes to the night club. Jessica waits
for him outside. She is happy. She wants to dance with her husband.

Thursday

Jessica and John are in a train that goes to Paris. Jessica’s aunt lives there. She prepares
a welcome party for them. All her friends want to know her niece and nephew. Jessica
has some nice presents for her aunt. They don’t speak. John reads a magazine. His wife

listens to music. The trip lasts 6 hours, so they have time to rest and relax. Paris is the
las city in Europe that they visit. On Sunday they travel back to the USA.
