I am honored and excited to present my teaching portfolio for you to peruse. For the
last fourteen years, I have had the privilege of teaching in the Cobb County School
District. My experiences here, through building relationships with students,
collaborating with peers, developing skills as a gifted educator and becoming a teacher
leader, have been fulfilling and life changing. It is my goal to combine these experiences
and my education to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, creative teacher leader who will
make a positive contribution to your school.
I have spent the last fourteen years developing a teaching style that is student-centered
and full of creative strategies. I take pride in my ability to collaborate with others, to
take risks in the classroom and to set high expectations for all my students. I have a
passion for teaching gifted students and pushing them further than they thought they
could go, encouraging them to take risks, and not to be afraid of failure.
In this portfolio, you will find my resume, with my experiences, accomplishments and
recognitions that I have received. There are also some work samples from graduate
school, which shaped and developed my current philosophies on education and
teaching. Finally, you will find photos of some of the wonderful memories I have from
the last fourteen years.
