Observing
An observation is information we gather about something by
using our senses.
List of Five Senses:
1. Eyes – you use to see.
2. Nose- you use to smell.
3. Ears- you use to hear.
4. Tongue- you use to taste.
5. Skin- you use to feel.
Comparing Objects
Comparing means finding how things are alike or different in
shape, size, color and texture.

Shape, color size

Classifying
Grouping things or objects according to their characteristics
that are alike.

Classify the objects. Into the proper categories by using


letters.

Inferring
-You infer when you use what you observe about something
and make a good guess about it.
1.Observation: The baby is crying
Inference: The baby is crying

2.Observation: The girl is drinking water.


Inference: The girl is thirsty

Measuring
You can use tools to measure things.
Use for measuring length, height, and thickness are a ruler, a
meterstick, and a tape measure.

Ruler- is used to measure how high, long, or thick something is.


It measures in Centimeters(cm). Millimeters(mm), or inches
(in).
Meterstick- is also used to measure how high or long an object
is.
Tape measure- is used to measure how long or how big
something is. It is used to measure around objects that are not
flat. Measures cm or mm.
Measuring cup – measures how much something is. It can
measure liquid, sugar, flour, and other similar things. The unit
used is mL (Milliliters).
Thermometer- measures temperature.
It tells how hot or cold something is. Used degree Celsius ( ͦ ͦC).
