and bearing any of its risks, with the view of making the profit.

-It involves looking for investment and production opportunities,

creating and managing a business venture to carry out production
functions, arranging inputs like land, labor, material, and capital,
introducing new processes and goods, and locating new sources for the
firm.

We have 5 tips in developing yourself for entrepreneurship

 Set your own goals

Develop the habit of having a purpose. You are much more likely to get
what you want if you know what you want and are willing to work for
it.
And remember your life is what you, yourself make of it.

In setting your goals, remember the following:

- Be realistic. Know your strengths and weaknesses as well as the
support and obstacles present in your environment.

- Be self-reliant. Do not aim for something which depend on many

other people and circumstances for its attainment.
-Select those goals which are important to you and which allow you to
perform your best

There have 2 terms in setting your own goals

Long term goals

-long-term goals are things that you want to achieve in one, three, five
years or more into the future.

Short term goals

-While long term goals are those which we seek in one, two, or more
years’ time, short goals are closer to the present. They are goals which
you plan to pursue a few days, a week, or a month from
the time you first thought of doing them.

 Believe in Yourself
-Believe that you can achieve your goals. If you do not have faith in
yourself, no one else will. For you to be able to make things happen,
you must first recognize that you can do so, and nobody else.

Here are ways to develop your self confidence

-Know as much of yourself as you can. Take time out regularly to

reflect about your knowledge regarding your strengths and
weaknesses.

-Look at your qualities in a realistic manner. Neither underestimate nor

exaggerate your own abilities and talents. Compare your ideas about
yourself with what others say about you.

-emphasize your strengths and play down your weaknesses by

choosing activities and goals where you do best. You can select
projects which allow you the freedom to express yourself most
creatively.Harness your capacities as much as you can.
 Guard your Thoughts
You can control your mind and use it productively. Avoid negative
thoughts and ideas if you can not learn from them. Always try to profit
from what goes on in your mind. If you fill your thoughts with positive
ideas, you are more likely to have confidence in yourself, in others, and
in the world at large. You are also more likely to think big and
accomplish big things.

 Aim to Learn and Grow

People who are happier and more successful in life never stop learning
and growing personally and professionally. Take advantage of every
opportunity to learn something new, such as a new skill,
ability, strategy, method, idea, craft or even wisdom. Engage in
positive and productive activities.

 Use your time wisely

Develop good habits that make efficient and effective use of time.

Here are some tips to help you organize your time to be more
productive:

-First, do time/work analysis. For one week, record how you spend
your time. Then learn from the feedback by disciplining to spend more
time on studying, learning new things, and/or acquiring new skills

-Secondly know your priorities. You must know what you want to get
done so that you are not tempted to waste your time on non-essential
activities.

-Work according to an organized schedule from day to day. Identify

daily specific goals or “things to do”. it is best to do this in the evening
before you get to bed. Think, in advance of what you must do
the next day so that you wake up in time and go to work directly on
your schedule.
