3 Conditonal If I had finished my homework early, I would have gone to the park.
“unreal” past (That is what I would have done if it had been possible, but it wasn’t.)

Note: In all of the examples above, we can change the order of the two parts (clauses) of the
sentence, and the meaning is the same. In this case, we remove the comma between the two.
Examples: I go to the park when I finish my homework early.
I would have gone to the park if I had finished my homework early.
NEVER use would in both clauses of a sentence! (Some native speakers do this, but it is wrong!)
** If I would have finished my homework early, I would have gone to the park.
***Would is never used in the same part of the sentence as if
