Essay 0 of 10 points

Explain the following statement based on your own understanding.

What are the qualities of a traditional artist? ···/5

Traditional artists are those who, through the content and form of their works, have
contributed to the development of a sense of nationhood. Artists who have distinguished
themselves by foregoing a mode of creative expression or style in order to influence future
generations of artists. Artists who have produced a significant body of work and/or who
have consistently demonstrated excellence in their art form's practice, enriching artistic
expression or style.

"Art is not a nature". Explain why? ···/5

Art is not a nature because it is only the result of an artist's perception of nature. Art is a
representation of what an artist perceives, not of nature. Nature is not included in art
because it is the content of an artist's perspective on nature. Art is only a manifestation of
reality. Like literature, art can be made fictitious but still rely on reality. An artist, for
example, would not draw a person depicting wrath and evilness literally; instead, an artist
would depict a leafless tree covered in darkness and thunder. However, it is up to the artist
to depict what he or she has experienced.
