In the 3Cs of Marketing, company creates strategy and implements tactics to beat
the competition. What is the difference between, Strategy and Tactics?

NOTE: This is included in your class participation.

ANSWER

Your long-term goals and the plan you have in place to reach them are outlined in your
strategy. In other words, your strategy provides the direction you need to follow in order to
accomplish the objective of your firm. In contrast to strategies, tactics are significantly more
direct and frequently focus on taking quick, incremental actions. There are best practices,
detailed planning, and resources involved. also known as "initiatives." A smart tactic serves a
specific goal that supports your plan. It has a set amount of time during which particular tasks
will be finished and their effects evaluated. While tactics are short-term activities, strategy is a
long-term vision. As an illustration, if your marketing plan is to increase your social media
performance and influence, one of your techniques might be to identify the best social media
platforms for your company and the most persuasive ways to reach your target consumers.
