Question

1(i): The primary objective of management skills is to provide solid foundation in the field of
managing and equip them with essential management & leadership skills. The primary objective
of management is to harmonize and arrange the various activities within an organization in
order to propel the company towards its desired objectives. Maximizing the utilization of
resources and optimizing productivity are crucial elements of effective management ensuring
that the organization operates with high efficiency and delivers desired outcomes. Planning
organizing directing staffing and controlling are key functions performed by managers to
effectively carry out their duties.

2. ii): In the event that the physiological needs of students are not being fulfilled students may
encounter a range of challenges that impede their overall well-being. These challenges may
hinder ability to thrive academically and emotionally. Thus, it is crucial to prioritize and address
basic biological needs to establish a solid foundation for success. By understanding the
significance of Maslow's hierarchy, as recognized that fundamental requirements like
nourishment hydration rest clothing and shelter serve as the building blocks for students' overall
development. Therefore, it is imperative that we provide the necessary resources and support
to ensure that their physiological needs are adequately satisfied paving the way for optimum
growth and achievement.

iii): One of Frederick Herzberg’s factor theory is Motivational factors. Motivators can be defined
as the driving forces behind job satisfaction and the catalysts that inspire employees to exceed
expectations. These motivators encompass a range of elements such as engaging and
purposeful tasks acknowledgment of one's efforts the chance to take on more responsibility
avenues for personal development and progress a sense of accomplishment and the potential
for career advancement. These factors are deeply embedded in the work itself and directly tied
to an individual's innate desire for self-improvement and fulfilment. To give an example, when
an employee in a professional setting where her/his derive true satisfaction from work
experience a genuine sense of accomplishment and foster healthy relationships with
colleagues. These fundamental elements play a pivotal role in driving motivation at the
workplace as outlined. Nevertheless, if the employee’s salary falls short of meeting financial
needs and working environment is characterized by unfavourable conditions & motivation could
dwindle even though you genuinely enjoy performing tasks.
3. i): First one is conceptual skills. Conceptual skills refer to the cognitive abilities and
intellectual capacity of managers to understand complex ideas concepts and theories in order to
make informed decisions. These skills involve critical thinking problem-solving strategic
planning and the ability to envision long-term goals and outcomes.
2nd, is communication skills. This, skill encompass the ability to effectively convey information
ideas and messages both verbally and in writing. It includes not only speaking and writing

clearly and concisely but also active listening interpreting non-verbal cues and adapting
communication styles to different audiences and situations.
3rd, is leadership skills, which involve the capability to inspire motivate and guide individuals and
teams towards achieving shared goals. It includes the ability to communicate a clear vision
delegate tasks provide feedback and support resolve conflicts and foster a positive and
collaborative work environment.

3. ii): Example of Conceptual skills in management can be observed across various hierarchical
levels. However, these skills hold utmost significance at the topmost positions where managers
are distanced from immediate problem-solving and operational challenges. The key value of
conceptual skills lies in their application by upper-level executives to establish comprehensive
frameworks and guidelines for supervisors to effectively navigate and address intricate issues
that may arise within their respective areas of responsibility. Acquiring and honing conceptual
skills is crucial for effective management and it is essential for leaders to actively enhance these
valuable abilities. Conceptual skills play a pivotal role in management as they equip managers
with the fundamental capabilities to tackle intricate and ever-evolving organizational challenges.
Furthermore, they empower leaders to devise innovative resolutions and operate with a
comprehensive perspective in mind. By investing in the development of your conceptual skills
you are positioning yourself for triumph in the realm of management.
Example of communication skills. In the professional realm effective communication abilities
play a crucial role in achieving success. Regardless of their form be it spoken unspoken written
or visual these skills are highly sought after by employers. Therefore, it is imperative to seize
the opportunity to showcase strengths and enthusiasm for personal development in these
domains using resume cover letter and interview as platforms for highlighting these valuable
attributes. Effective communication plays a pivotal role in equipping leaders with the ability to
offer vital guidance and information to their teams. Employing a diverse array of communication
techniques leaders can foster better interpersonal comprehension as well as boost morale and
professionalism among their team members. Recognizing the significance of communication in
effectively leading and improving productivity it becomes imperative to take proactive measures
to enhance these skills. This article aims to shed light on the crucial role of communication in
leadership and provide actionable strategies to further refine these abilities.

THREATS

The first threat faced by McDonalds in Malaysia & other countries, which is fierce rivalry in fast-
food industries, such as KFC, Subway & Taco Bell. So, Burger King is the closest competitors
to McDonalds. This intense rivalry poses a significant challenge for McDonald's as it seeks to
expand and evolve. With a multitude of well-known fast-food establishments vying for
dominance McDonald's must constantly innovate and differentiate itself to stay ahead of the
competition. Not only does the company face stiff competition from local businesses but it also
encounters formidable opponents in the form of global fast-food giants.
The second threat face by Malaysia’s McDonald is consumer preference, because different
people prefer something unique in taste and trying new food. Consumer, desire for personalized
food choices. Today more and more consumers seek greater control over their meals actively
seeking out restaurants that provide an extensive selection of customizable options to suit their

unique tastes and dietary needs. As a result, we have witnessed the emergence and popularity
of fast-casual chains that empower customers to build their own meals entirely from scratch.
The, third threat is economic downturn. Fast, food industries were impacted by the Covid-19
pandemic, The fast-food industry faces significant risks with the occurrence of inflation and a
downturn in the economy. These challenges pose a threat to businesses by causing a decline
in consumer spending which can subsequently impact sales and profitability. Additionally
operational costs can escalate during economic downturns potentially leading to financial losses
for companies operating in this sector.
The, 4th Threat, faced by McDonald is regarding on legal & Regulatory problems. challenges
faced by McDonald's a global fast-food chain are navigating the extensive network of laws and
regulations that govern its operations. These regulations encompass a wide range of areas
such as ensuring food safety maintaining fair employment practices and adhering to ethical
marketing practices. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in severe
consequences for the company both financially and in terms of its reputation. Employment
practices are also subject to strict regulations ensuring fair wages working conditions and equal
employment opportunities. McDonald's must comply with labor laws such as providing
appropriate compensation maintaining safe working environments and preventing
discrimination. Any violations in this area can lead to legal actions significant financial penalties
and negative publicity impacting the company's credibility and attractiveness to potential
employees.
