General Instruction

Select any organization you are familiar with (it could be organization where you work now
or before) and assess over all practices and challenges of HRM practices.

1. Instruction

Please submit your assignment report on A4 paper using 12 points font size and 1.5-line spacing.
The report must be typewritten and it should be from 10-15 pages.
The last date for submitting your repot is one week before final exam date.
Before submitting the report, make sure that:
i You have completed the assignment as required
ii The cover page is well designed by containing name of your college, department/program,
center/campus, module title, your Name and ID Number; and name of your instructor.
2. Marking and weighting

Your assignment carries 30% of the total evaluation.


Your assignment must involve all the major functions of HRM (HR Planning practices,
Recruitment and selection practices, orientation and socialization practices, training and
development practices, promotion- demotion cases, compensation mechanisms,
performance appraisal practices, motivation practices, disciplinary cases, and the like in
detail and the challenges- external and internal, the organization faced in carrying out all
these practices).
Extent/depth to which you look at all HRM functions is decisive in marking.
Editorial, uniformity of styles and coherence of ideas determine your result.
You are highly encouraged to support your assessment by primary data collected through
interview (with HRM personnel) or focused group discussion (with experts of HRD),
secondary data-like reports and recent literatures in the area.
❖ Generally, over all organization; contents (all HRM functions); depth at which you assess all
functions (elaboration); support by primary data, secondary data and recent literature in the
area; uniformity of style of writing, coherence of ideas, editorial qualities, etc. are major
points to be considered during evaluation and marking of your term paper.
