Chapter 22 Wireless Pattern Transfer Function

1.1 System Introduction


Richpeace Wireless Embroidery Management System utilize WIFI wireless
network technology, link up several embroidery machines into a wireless local area
network (WLAN), being a Central Embroidery Pattern Transfer and Management
System.
Through the Wireless Embroidery Management System installed in
server computer, operator can manage patterns like view, add,
delete in each individual embroidery machine. The operator can
view individual embroidery machine’s daily operation log,
discover problems (if any) of machine during production without
delay.

1.2 Main Features

 Centralize Patterns Management in one computer system, direct manage and


control all Embroidery Machines’ working patterns.

 Utilize Wireless Network as data transfer media, makes future factory

development more flexible, when factory install new embroidery machines, just a

few steps software setup can easily add those new machines into Wireless

Embroidery Management System.

 Fast wireless data transfer rate, can be done in batch process.

 Users’ authority management, protect machines from unauthorized operation.

2.1 Network Topology Diagram
Picture 2.1 is the Network Topology Diagram of Wireless LAN System
(WLAN), embroidery files are transferred through the network to all embroidery
machines for production.

Wireless router with strong signal transfer ability should be choose,
commercial grade router, suggest to use TP Link model TL-WVR308(picture 2.2)
or better.

2.2 Router

Setup

Following initial setup should be done when a new router is installed

Remark: If purchase wireless router from Richpeace, the router was already
setup as listed, no need do setup again

Following we use TL-WR840N Wireless Router as example, elaborate
how to setup a wireless router, other brand or model routers may have some
different during setup, users need to study user manual shipped with each
router.
A) Connect electricity supply to router, push and hold “RESET” key for 5
seconds till indication lamps all on and reset complete. By this time, the
router has been reset back to factory default settings.

B) Set computer wireless network interface automatic get IP address from
DHCP server (see picture 2.3). Search and Connect to the Wireless
Router.

C) Open “Internet Explorer” in Window OS, input network address
192.168.1.1 and “Enter”
D) Input user name and password in login window; default corresponding
user name and password is “admin” and “admin”

LAN setting, input at the right side IP address of router as 192.168.1.1
and subnet mask 255.255.255.0, then click “Save” to keep the setting.

F) Click “WLAN” -> “Basic Setting”, input at right side SSID setting as
“RichPeace” (case sensitive), click “Save” to keep the setting, see
picture 2.6

G) Click “WLAN” -> “Wireless Security Setting”, Select at the right side

security mode “WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK” at pull down menu, select
encryption mode “AES”, input PSK share key as “RichPeace” (case
sensitive), click “Save” to keep the setting, see picture 2.7

H) Click “DHCP Server” -> “DHCP Service”, select at right side “DHCP
Server” to “On”, input ip pool address start from 192.168.1.2, end at

192.168.1.99. Click “Save” to keep the setting, see picture 2.8

I) Click “System Tool” -> “Restart Router”, click “Restart Router” at right
side, click “Yes” to confirm restart. See picture 2.9.

2.3 WIFI 模块的设置 WIFI Module Setup

Remarks:
1. WIFI module’s default factory setting is set to connect to router with
setting mention in Section 2.2, if you have following the setting to
setup your router, you can skip this WIFI Module Setup section,
otherwise, you should follow the setting underneath to setup WIFI
Module of each embroidery machine.
2. You should not input any other setting other than those was
introduced in following sections. Reset to factory default setting is also
prohibited.

A) A label printed with WIFI Module Setting data is stick on the back of
Main Control Box.

B) Set the IP address of network interface to 10.10.100.1, subnet mask:
255.0.0.0, default gateway: 10.10.100.254 (see picture 2.11)

C) Refresh Network Interface available WIFI network list, search and
connect to WIFI Module in Main Control Box (see picture 2.12)

D) Start Internet Explorer, input URL address 10.10.100.254 and enter.


E) At login window, input “user name: admin” and “password: admin”
(see picture 2.12), then click “Yes” to confirm.

G) Select service router with SSID “RichPeace”, then click “Apply” button
to confirm making change.

H) At “Wireless Terminal Settings” window, setup also Security Mode,


Encryption Method, Share Key, then click “Yes” button to save
settings. Save confirmation receipt pop up. Now you need to restart
program to use new settings,
I) Select “Module Management” (see picture 2.15), click on “Restart”
button at right frame of the window to restart program. All new settings
will then effective.

J) If you want to change the user name and password setup, can be done
at this “Module Manage” interface window.

WARNING: Un-approved technical is prohibited to execute

2.4 Control Box Settings

2.4.2 Model HIII Control Box Network Settings


At Model HIII Computer
Main Control Panel, press “5.
Network Setting” button, enter
network setting interface (like picture 2.18)
Enter correct IP address, press “Yes” button to save and confirm setting,
restart Control Program to make setting effective.

2.5 Server Setup
A) Connect the Wireless Network Interface with Wireless Router setup in
section 2.2
B) Open “Control Panel” of Window System. Select “Internet”, then right
click “Wireless Network” -> select “Property”-> double click “ Internet
Protocol” and internet protocol setting window pop up. Base on
following table to input settings. Click “Yes” to save and confirm.

3.3 How to Use

3.3.1 Add Machine

At “Operation” pull down menu, select “Add Machine”, pop up “Add


Machine Setup” window (see picture 3.3)

3.3.2 Delete Machine

Select the Machine going to be deleted at main control window, right click
and a menu list pop up, click “Delete Machine” and the selected machine is then
deleted from the machines list immediately.

3.3.3 Setup Machine Parameter

Select the Machine going to be deleted at main control window, right click
and a menu list pop up, click “Machine Setup”, the machine’s setup window will
then opened. (see picture 3.3)
Edit the machine settings as previous operation at “Add Machine” section,
please reference to section 3.3.1 “Add Machine”

3.3.4 Users and Authority Management

Click at main control window, enter “User Authority Management”

[Add], [Edit], [Delete] commands are used to setup operators and
administrators. User “Admin” is default system administrator, see picture
3.4.

A) Add User: Click [Add] button, “Add User” window pop up, see picture
3.5. Input new user name, password, user authority, click “OK” button
then user added successfully, click “Cancel” to cancel operation.

User Password: at “User Authority Management” interface, select user in
the list, click [Edit] button, “Edit User” window pop up, see picture 3.6.
Input current password and new password, then click “OK” button to
save new password or click “Cancel” button to cancel editing.

[Delete] button, pop up “Operation Confirmation” window, see picture 3.7.
Click “Yes” to confirm or “No” to cancel and exit.

3.3.5 Manage Daily Log

Login to Management Software as administrator, click icon at main


control window, access to view and manage daily log.

3.3.6 Screen Lock

Click icon at main control window will lock the screen of


management software, administrators or operators should
enter correct user name and password to return back to normal mode.

3.4 Pattern Transfer Operation

3.4.1 Enter Machine Pattern Transfer Management System

Double click any machine in the list which the pattern will be transferred to
at main control window. Machine Pattern Transfer Management Window will
pop up, see picture 3.8

3.4.2 Wait for Transfer Zone

A) [Add] button – add one or more patterns in “Wait for Transfer Zone”
B) [Delete] button – delete patterns being stored in “Wait for Transfer Zone”
C) [Clear All] button – clear all patterns being stored in “Wait for Transfer
Zone”
D) [Send] button – send the patterns to machine for production

3.4.3 机器信息 Machine Information

Display current machine’s name and IP address

3.4.4 日志浏览 View Daily Log

A) [Update Machine Daily Log] button – send lastest 100 operation logs back
to management software.
B) [View System Log] button – view system’s daily operation logs.
C) [Exit] button – return to main control window

3.4.5 机器花样文件浏览 Browse Machine Pattern Files

A) [Update List] button – list all patterns files being stored in the selected
machine
B) [Delete Selected Pattern] button – deleted the selected pattern file from the
machine.
