The Meaning of Yoni
The word Yoni is often used as a synonym of the word
vagina, but that’s a very limited use of a concept with a
vast spiritual meaning. Yoni is a broad topic and in this
chapter we embark on the wider context and meaning of
the Indic Vedic Yoni concept.

The Yoni concept has its origins in India and has

cosmological, spiritual, emotional, psychological and
physical connotations and up to today it plays an important
role both in the Hindu religion and in Ayurveda traditional
medicine.

Yoni is a Sanskrit word — Sanskrit is the ancient Indian

language — that appears in several texts in the Vedas, the
latter being a large and presumably the oldest collection of
sacred religious and spiritual texts of ancient India.

The Yoni is usually represented symbolically in the form of

a horizontally positioned square, ellipse or round base with
an edge and an opening in the center. Typically you will
see a cylindrical shaped Lingam (the Yoni’s masculine
counterpart) placed, standing up in the center. One can
encounter Yoni icons in Vedic literature, in many Indic art
forms, shrines and in Hindu temples.

The idea, scope and meaning of the word Yoni and what it
stands for is extensive. It’s used in many ways, such as
source, origin, nest, place of birth, the womb, beginnings,
abode, incubator, creator, fertility, family, race, caste, grain,
seed, among other synonyms.

In ancient Indian cosmological theories and conceptions,

the Yoni is the representation of the material cause of the

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 6
universe, that is, the mother source or inherent background
of the universe. The Yoni refers to the female principle in
all known life forms including its seasonal, regenerative,
and vegetative cycles.

In many Indian religious and spiritual traditions, the Yoni is

of key importance, notably in Shaktism and Shaivism as
well as in Kaula and Tantra lineages. The Yoni, together
with the Lingam, symbolizes the cyclic creation and
dissolution of the universe and of all individual life forms.
The Yoni-Lingam iconography shows that Life and Death,
their expressions and interactions are an inherent unity in
duality.

The Yoni is also seen as an aniconic symbol of Shakti,

which is interpreted as the supreme elemental dynamic
cosmic energy representing power, ability, strength, force,
effort, energy, and capability. Shakti then is a
conceptualization and personification of inherent sacred
feminine creative power, also referred to as Amma, Devi,
“The Mother,” or “The Great Divine Mother.” This power
manifests itself through females, active creativity and
fertility, although this energy is also present in males, but in
its latent form.

It’s believed that Shakti energy is an underlying force

responsible for creation and change. It’s here where the
notion of the Goddess arises, seeing Shakti as being
incarnated and embodied in various female Hindu
Goddesses or Devis.

The Yoni has been a divine symbol in ancient times across

many civilizations globally. Although called Yoni in India, it
arose under other names and representations in various
early cultures and societies. In Southeast Asia, for
instance, Yoni icons with the Lingam placed into it are
encountered in ancient stone temples, in reliefs and murals

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 7
in a multitude of countries, such as Indonesia, Cambodia,
Vietnam, and Thailand.

As already mentioned at the start of this chapter, in a more

restricted physical sense the word Yoni is used as a
referral to the feminine reproductive organs. It then
includes the vagina, uterus, clitoris, cervix, ovaries, vulva,
endometrium, and Fallopian tubes.

In Indic Ayurvedic medicine we find many treatment

modalities addressing the Yoni, such as for instance, Yoni
Prakshalanam, Yoni Pichu, Avagaha Sveda Yoni Sitz Bath,
Uttara Basti, among others.

The various Ayurveda Yoni treatments that cover Yoni

Roga, or gynecological disorders, are therapies to cure
certain diseases, discomforts or illnesses such as Yoni
Daha (burning sensation in the vagina or vulva), Yoni
Srava (excessive vaginal discharge), Yoni Kandu (an
itching vulva), Yoni Viyapada (candidiasis), to give some
examples.

Many of the Yoni treatments that exist in Ayurvedic

medicine can be found in other parts of the world or in
other traditional healing systems also. Think of treatments
like vaginal steaming and vaginal Sitzbaths, which are
treatment modalities, with local adaptions, used across the
globe.

The well-known Yoni Massage however, today very

trending around the globe, is absent in Ayurvedic medicine
and basically found its way through what is now called the
Neo-Tantra movement. It’s why Yoni Massage treatments
are often called Yoni Tantric Massage or Tantric Vaginal
Massage, and such.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 8
Mind however, that the Yoni as a reference to the womb,
fertility, procreation, and “the Mother” has, over time,
created many difficulties for women, not only in India, but
around the world.

The problem that arose is the idea that a woman is fully

woman only if she is able to create, procreate, that is, have
babies, and moreover, is expected to be a caring, loving,
self-sacrificing mother. This has in some way robbed
women of their personal dignity and individuality and of
their own intrinsic value.

For instance, it means that a woman should not pursue,

have or experience sexual or other pleasures for herself,
and only sacrifice her life as a mother or a “good”
housewife. It also means that she’s unworthy, named and
shamed if she does otherwise or cannot “produce babies.”
Another important aspect of “shaming” directly connected
to the physical Yoni is the woman’s menstrual cycle,
childbirth, and the postpartum period which, traditionally in
many societies and cultures, has been seen as something
“dirty,” something that needs to be “cleansed.”

Of course, the “bloody” aspect of a woman’s period and

menstruation or childbirth incites “cleansing,” which has
some valid hygienic reasons. Yet, it too often became
connected to being a woman as being something impure,
to be avoided, hidden, something that brings the worth of a
woman down.

In that sense, and without going into an analysis of works

like the Indian Kama Sutra or spiritual lineages such as
Tantra, we can conclude that the Neo-Tantra movement,
surfacing in the 1960s in the West, has increasingly
promoted the liberation of women when it comes to
experiencing and accepting their body, pleasure and
emotional fulfillment as something normal and worth of

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 9
pursuit — as a whole — on a sexual, non-sexual and
spiritual level.

What is there today as Tantric Sex, Tantric Massage,

Lingam Massage, or Yoni Massage, Yoni Mapping, and the
like, all found their way through the Neo-Tantra movement,
yet it’s unlikely that any of this was present in the original
Indic religious and spiritual Tantra lineages and
philosophies.

What’s clear, however, is that there’s ongoing work to do

for women to liberate themselves from sexual suppression,
from women-unfriendly patterns and practices in society,
and from the mental, psychological and physical blockages
and traumas caused because of those. This is certainly not
only something that concerns the West, but also other
cultures and societies, may they be African, South
American, or Asian.

PAGE: 10
What Is Yoni Massage?
A Yoni Massage is a Neo-Tantric Vaginal Massage
modality — partly based on ancient Tantric and Taoist
philosophic and spiritual ideas — developed by Joseph
Kramer and Annie Sprinkle in the 1990s in the USA. Over
the years, the various steps of the massage have been
refined, and today it’s a widely taught and applied vaginal
massage modality across the world.

On the whole, Tantric Massage offerings, such as generic

Tantric Massage and specialized Lingam Massage, have
seen enormous growth in the past two decades, and
although the Yoni Massage is a relative late-comer on the
commercial stage, it has rapidly become an accepted and
sought-after genital massage treatment modality.

A Yoni Massage is a massage with a spiritual, Tantric and

Taoist focus, with the primary aim to bring a woman’s
sexuality and sexual creative energy to life, using a
combination of therapies. It’s an exploration of the woman’s
genitals and her spiritual, sacred femininity. A Yoni
Massage can also be a therapeutic opportunity for women
to open up energetically and spiritually, to de-armor
emotionally, releasing traumatic sexual and emotional
tensions and frustrations.

Yoni, Yonee, or Yonic Massage sessions may reveal new

capacities for women, such as new types of orgasm, multi-
orgasmic states, and blissful experiences, which come
about through complete surrender accompanied by a
gentle, non-judgmental, and supportive space which gives
room for a pleasant and safe healing experience. Some
women discover a new perception of their sexual energy

PAGE: 11
and its expression, boasting a completely renewed
awareness of their place in the world.

There’s sometimes debate about who should ideally give

the Yoni Massage — a man or a woman — but in reality
treatments are offered by both men and women, gay, bi or
heterosexual; it simply depends on the woman receiving it,
that is, what she prefers, or with whom she feels safer
being able to trust and open up more in the session.

There are usually two approaches to a Yoni Massage: the

first one having an explicit therapeutic goal, and the second
approach is rather directed at the sensual erotic pleasure
experience. A proper Yoni Massage ideally starts with
minimally a full body Tantric Oil Massage before heading to
the Yoni. It will include attention to erogenous zones, such
as the neck, breasts, and inner thighs and buttocks before
doing further intimate work. Immediately heading on to the
vulva or internal parts of the vagina is certainly not the
idea.

A Yoni Massage typically includes the genital area —

vulva, vaginal canal, clitoris, perineum, cervix and sacred
G-spot — and may or may not be an external and/or
internal massage. As a therapeutic modality it’s focused on
releasing tension and blockages within the abdominal and
pelvic area, including the genital organs, with the aim of
physical healing or rather being focused on trauma and
emotional release helping a woman to reconnect with her
sexuality.

A Yoni Massage therapist will adjust the flow, intensity and

range of the treatment, doing things gradually, always with
consent of the receiver, maybe over multiple sessions, to
make sure that the massage doesn’t create (new) trauma
or emotional damage.

PAGE: 12
Note that women may have an orgasm or multiple orgasms
during the session (perhaps for the first time) or more
intense orgasms after the treatment. The final goal of a
Tantric Yoni Massage is to help women to achieve higher
states of consciousness by transforming healthy flowing
sexual energy into creative spiritual energy.

Benefits of Yoni Massage
A Yoni Massage is primarily intended to work as a genital
and sexual healing massage treatment modality by
releasing emotional, physical and traumatic blockages, and
enabling women to re-experience their complete sensual,
creative and spiritual womanhood.

The various benefits of a Yoni Massage:

 Awakens the clitoris, G-spot, A-spot (and other Yoni

Spots), the vagina, and cervix, enabling more
sensitivity and pleasure;
 Opens up the opportunity to experience different
kinds of orgasms;
 Increases body awareness and supports the body to
become more erogenous, sensitive, and orgasmic;
 Increases blood circulation to the genitals, inducing
more intense feelings and better genital health;
 Promotes fertility;
 Improves lubrication and more intense orgasms;
 Helps control orgasms (deepening and expanding);
 Helps to better relax the body and surrender to
pleasurable feelings;
 Increases libido and sexual pleasure;
 Increases self-awareness, self-trust, and self-respect;
 Stimulates mental health, healthy relationships,
personal development, and spiritual practice;
 Removes feelings of guilt and shame;

Intimacy Aspects and Consent
Massage comes with touch, is in many ways touch, and the
sort of touch used in massage comes with closeness,
kindness, lovingness, gentleness, togetherness, and a
certain type of intimacy. This is even more prominently the
case for sensual and erotic massages, such as the Yoni
Massage.

Reaching a (binding) agreement (also called consent) with

the therapist of what exactly the boundaries of a session
are is one of the first things that need to be addressed
when engaging in a Yoni Massage. By the way, this goes
both ways: not only you convey your wishes, but the
massage therapist will also let you know what his or her
way of working is and what the limits are.

In any case, let’s take a look at the several aspects of

intimacy that surround a session and how consent and
trust play their role in it.

Physical Intimacy
To help, support, and heal people, it’s important for a
therapist to understand the reasons why a client seeks
treatment. There are a variety of motives and one of those
is the fact that many people just miss to be touched
physically — fully and wholly. Some people haven’t been
touched kindly or closely for many, many years already,
and let’s not forget — loving, compassionate and caring
touch can work miracles.

Therapists need to deal with this type of demand and act

carefully, responsibly, sensibly and with integrity while
giving sessions. The last thing any client needs is to
experience a feeling of abuse. On the contrary, the client

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 16
needs to feel a safe and trusting space being able to open-
up, relax, and let go genuinely.

Another intimacy issue is that some clients feel ashamed of

their bodies or certain parts of their bodies. They may have
an erroneous idea about the “ugliness” of their bodies or
specific body parts or they may have actual malformations
or illnesses. Here also, respect is needed for this kind of
feelings while at the same time nurturing the proper
environment for clients.

Emotional Intimacy
Especially with therapeutic massage sessions a therapist
will first talk intensively with the client. Many physical health
problems have a mental, psychological, or emotional
background — partially or even fully.

Aspects of confidentiality, privacy and trust apply here and

what is said and talked about should stay within the
boundaries of the session. Sometimes the massage
therapist is pushed in the role of a counselor and — except
for being a licensed psychologist at the same time — he or
she needs to be careful with this and know well where
limits and limitations are with regard to giving psychological
advice or guidelines.

Therapeutic Genital Treatments

With therapeutic sexual or genital massage treatments
such as the Yoni Massage, the therapist needs to handle a
very specific realm.

The client comes for genital or sexual healing and the

therapist will most likely touch and manipulate the private
and intimate parts. Here it’s of absolute necessity to be
very clear beforehand about the goal of the session and set
strict boundaries for both sides.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 17
On the other hand, certainly with therapeutic genital
massage and bodywork treatments, the client also needs
the space to a guilt-free experience of naturally appearing
feelings of arousal or even a sexual orgasm, without
getting the feeling that it’s something wrong or to be
ashamed of.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 18
Emotional and Trauma Release
With a Yoni Massage it’s quite common that, apart from
sexual release, pleasure, relief or healing, also emotional
and trauma release can occur during a session — one may
have outbursts of laughter or may start to cry or scream, or
what not.

That’s all nothing to worry about: in fact it’s a healthy

cleansing process, a release of psychological and
emotional tension stored in the body.

Not all treatments evoke strong emotional release, yet it is

still important to be prepared — one shouldn’t get into
further distress if body or mind starts to react uncontrollably
causing spontaneous emotional outbursts.

It’s hard to say in advance who will experience profound

trauma or emotional release during a session, but in
general it can be said that those who are already “open to
work on themselves” will more easily experience emotional
re-balancing. Yet, it can also happen with women not at all
“open or receptive” who suddenly — to their own surprise
and astonishment — experience strong emotional
outbursts.

Nevertheless, emotional release is not always that obvious

or intense. Sometimes a person just need some pleasure,
warmth and comforting — the accepting, caring, non-
judgmental touch of another human being. We are all
human after all.

As it’s not to be known beforehand how one will respond to

a treatment exactly, we have listed the symptoms i.e.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 19
expressions of what perhaps might happen during (or even
after) a session:
 crying or laughing;
 shaking/trembling;
 screaming/shouting;
 coughing;
 cursing;
 hitting (even hitting the masseur);
 spasms and cramps;
 getting aroused and/or having an orgasm;
 tickling, ticklish feeling;
 lightness in the head/feeling like wanting to faint;
 heavy sweating;
 feelings of anger;
 feeling very cold or very hot;
 feeling very tired;
 getting very silent or in trance;
 feeling extremely relaxed;
 wanting to vomit;
 wanting to stop the massage session;
 getting a bitter taste in the mouth;
 having memories of traumas which come to the
surface.

One or more of the symptoms mentioned above may show

during a session, but some might as well come about in the
days following the treatment. In general, symptoms can
show up to a week after.

Choosing Your Massage
Therapist
A Tantric Yoni Massage is not just a massage, but very
intimate and emotional work, and choosing the right
therapist is of great importance to avoid traumatic
experiences on one side and to get the best out of what a
Yoni Massage can offer you on the other side.

Mind that Yoni Massage practices are not regulated, which

implies that anyone can give a Yoni Massage session,
qualified professionals, specialists and non-specialists
included.

Important aspects of choosing your therapist are: his or her

certification and/or qualification, clear communication,
mutual consent, hygiene, and understanding what exactly
the massage therapist will offer (or intends to offer).

Man or Woman
Although you can take your first session with a male
practitioner, it’s probably best to start out with a female
therapist. This will generally make it easier to trust, be
open, and fully surrender to the session. When you have
more experience with Yoni Massage, it then may be the
time to book with this or that famous male practitioner.

Session Time & Costs

A good Yoni Massage treatment session takes time.
Depending on you and the therapist, and the work that will
be done, a session will take at least between two and four
hours, or even longer. Less time is actually not possible,
because there’s simply a lot of work involved, which
includes inquiry, talking, coaching, the session itself (which

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 21
is slow, gentle and time-consuming work), feedback and
rest time after the session.

Mind that time is money. A good Yoni Massage is generally

rather pricy (which, by the way, also depends very much on
the country where you would take a session). In any case,
don’t just go for the cheapest option. The work is much to
intimate to go for a bargain.

Qualification of the Therapist

Choose a session with a qualified massage practitioner.
This may be a certified Sexological Bodyworker, Somatic
Sexuality Bodyworker, or Tantra Massage Specialist. Of
course, you can also get a recommendation from someone
you trust.

It doesn’t mean that therapists that don’t have an official

certification or qualification are not good at their work, but,
certainly when starting out with Yoni Massage, it’s better to
first be on the safe side. That is, do research about the
background and official qualifications of a Yoni Massage
practitioner before you book the session.

Research includes checking out the therapist’s website and

social media. Read what they write about giving a Yoni
Massage, or maybe even watch some videos of the
practitioner if those are available. It’s important that you
have a good “vibe” with what the practitioner intends and
“radiates.”

If you have questions about the practitioner, the session, or

about your needs, reach out. Email, chat, call! You can
also ask for a consultation before a session (for instance,
online via Skype or Zoom) so that you can build a
relationship and establish trust.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 22
Consent (agreement about what will happen during the
session), safety, and the boundaries of a session are of
primordial importance. These topics need to be discussed
before the session.

Perhaps it goes too far to sign a “session contract” or

consent form, but that may certainly be an option. Another
option that can be built in to ensure a safe session is to
agree on a so-called safe word, which is word you agree
on with the practitioner, which, when said by you, will
immediately stop the session.

In any case, always discuss safety and boundaries before

the actual session begins.

Hygiene
Hygiene is of course imperative to avoid infections and
simply to have a comfortable feeling. Check if the place
where you will get the session looks fresh and clean and if
there’s an opportunity to shower.

The therapist also needs to be clean and work safely (for

instance use gloves for internal work). Of course, a
hygienic environment and working style is often something
you can only really assess when meeting the therapist.
Nevertheless, if things are not as they should be, well, then
just cancel the session and leave.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 23
Precautions and
Contraindications
Before starting a Yoni Massage, the therapist should ask
you about your mental, emotional, and physical condition,
your daily activities, work, hobbies, sports, and medical
history. And of course, last but not least, he or she will
inquire about the reasons for the visit, that is, what exactly
the issues are you want to see resolved.

It’s important for the therapist to have this information in

order to know how you should be approached, and what
procedures and techniques can or cannot be applied, and if
there needs to be extra attention with certain parts of your
body or if there’s need to avoid working with certain parts.
Sometimes, it may also turn out that a session is not
recommended.

In general, a Yoni Massage can be given to any healthy

person. Of course, the length of the session and the
techniques applied will depend on your needs, abilities
and/or capabilities.

Important Notes
To avoid embarrassment and confusion, and to build-in
clarity, it’s important to know beforehand when you will be
expected to be nude or clothed. It’s also good practice to
make clear for both sides if the session is of an erotic or
only of a strictly therapeutic nature.

Mind that the therapist should always wear surgical gloves

when massaging or treating you internally.

Precautions
YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
PAGE: 24
 If you are pregnant (but only after 3 months until max 8
months of pregnancy) you can receive a Yoni Massage,
but some techniques are not done. It should be avoided
having you lying on the abdomen, and the massage
should be done very lightly as for the abdominal area.
Pregnant women will generally have a session lying on
their sides and/or on their back. Arterial compressions
should not be done (they induce a higher blood
pressure). However, when the goal of the session is to
specifically work on the uterus, other rules may apply as
for when (in which month of pregnancy) to give a
treatment. If you are at risk for preterm labor, it’s not
advised to take a session.
 As older persons are more likely to have osteoporosis
(porous and fragile bones), extra care needs to be taken
not to put too much pressure on the bones and
articulations. This counts as well for anybody else
having osteoporosis.
 Caution needs to be observed if you have diabetes,
heart diseases, built-in cardiac equipment, asthma, high
blood pressure or having had a (cerebral) stroke in the
past. All techniques that raise blood pressure
substantially should be avoided. Arterial compressions
shouldn’t be performed at all.
 Massage should not be done on tired or sore muscles.
 Massage around the ears, the temples, under the
armpits, behind the knees, the knees, under the chin,
the eyelids, on the crown of the head, and internally
(vaginal and rectal), should be done gently.
 Massage is not applied on bones, the collar bone
(clavicle), the spinal column, the elbow line, on
inflammations or swollen areas, on skin infections or
problems, on the blood vessels of the neck (carotid
artery), on or directly around broken bones, a surgical
area, ulcer or wound.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 25
 Massage is not applied on areas with dermatitis,
arthritis, phlebitis. Massage around the area is permitted
though.
 No massage, stretching or pressure is applied on areas
where you have artificial joints or (transplanted) organs.
 No massage is done directly on varicose veins.
 No massage is done on (organ or vertebral) hernias,
neither forcible actions applied to push them back in
their original position.
 No spinal twists are applied when you have problems
with the vertebral column, like bulging, slipped or broken
disks, or hernias.
 No massage is done on/in the abdominal area if you
have finished a meal, or have serious stomach or
intestinal problems, or if you are pregnant (except for
resolving specific issues during the pregnancy).
 No massage or rubbing is done or strong pressure given
on “thin skin.”
 The therapist should be informed if you are allergic for
certain ingredients that may be used in oils, decoctions,
creams and balms.
 The therapist should be informed if you have any active
infections.

Contraindications
 You shouldn’t take a session if you have an STD, STI,
including dormant HSV (herpes), or chronic yeast
infections or thrush (fungal infection).
 No session should be given if you are in an emotionally
or physically abusive relationship.
 Sessions should not be given when you are drunk or
when you have a fever.
 No session should be taken if you have been diagnosed
with having a mental disorder.
 Sessions should not be given if you have an active
cancer, have had an internal operation in the six months

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 26
preceding the session, or if you had a relatively severe
accident in the past 72 hours.
 If you have an infectious disease, like a flu, diphtheria,
tuberculosis, you shouldn’t be given a session, because
the therapist exposes him or herself to an infection. This
goes of course also the other way around.
 No session should be given if you suffer from severe
vaginal pain and have never seen a medical
professional.
 No massage should be given if you have been sexually
abused and have never seen a medical professional or
a therapist before the session.
 Massage is not advised if you are less than 6 months
postpartum.
 No massage should be given if you have endometriosis,
if you are bleeding, self-harming, or rushed.
 It’s not advised to take a session if you are going
through a very stressful time in your life.

Before a Yoni Massage Session
A Yoni Massage includes massage of the abdominal and
pelvic area, internal massage of the vaginal area, and
sometimes also internal massage in/through the rectal
area. It’s advised not to eat at least two to three hours
before a session. If possible, it’s also better to empty the
bowels beforehand.

Make time for a session. That is, reserve the whole day if
possible. A thorough Yoni Massage session can take from
two to up to six hours. You will also need to go to the studio
or place of the therapist (although a therapist may come to
you also), which takes time. Afterwards you’ll need time to
go home and rest. Relaxing after a session is important to
let body and mind calm down, digest, and recover.

Make sure you’re clean and fresh. Take a shower or bath

beforehand. Take those things with you that you think you
may want to use: a towel, a bottle of water, a refreshener, a
disinfector, clean clothes, or whatever it is you think you
would want at some point during your visit.

The session itself will always first start with a thorough

introduction. That is, the practitioner will talk to you at least
half an hour to an hour before actually starting the
massage. Knowing what you need and want (or not need
or not want) and knowing what you can handle physically
and emotionally is very important. Besides that, one needs
to get used to one another and feel a connection and trust.

Don’t hesitate to leave if something doesn’t feel good. Just

pay and leave; that’s much better than going through a
disturbing or even traumatic massage experience.

What Happens During a
Session?
Foremost, a Yoni Massage is therapeutic work aimed at
healing emotional issues and emotionally related physical
issues. Nevertheless, although not intended as a so-called
“Happy Ending Massage,” pleasure, fun and even orgasms
naturally make part of a session and the healing process.

As already explained in the previous chapter, the

practitioner will always start with a thorough introduction
and enquiry. The therapist may also ask you to take a
shower beforehand.

During the actual massage session, the practitioner is fully

clothed. There are sessions where this is not the case, but
this is then something you may want yourself or, in any
case, need to know about beforehand. Also, you will not be
asked to touch the therapist’s body parts, such as the
buttocks, breasts, or genitals. Do remember that a Yoni
Massage is a one-way touch practice, which means that
you are the receiver and the therapist the giver.

The massage therapist will only touch you with the hands,
not with the mouth or any other body part. Depending on
the way a therapist works, he or she may use certain sex
toys or essentials as an aid, such as, for instance, the Yoni
Wand and massage oils or other lubricants.

During a session, you can always stop and /or leave at any
time for whatever reason you feel or think. A professional
therapist will completely understand this.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 29
Usually, other people (a friend or someone you trust)
should/will not be present during the actual session (in the
treatment room), unless you would personally want that to
feel safer (and if the therapist consents to such an
approach).

Within a Yoni Massage a variety of massage techniques

may be applied, including touching, stroking, acupressure,
tapping, circling, pushing, pulling, tugging, rolling, deep
breathing, and, if consent is given, internal finger
penetration. Mind that a session usually includes the use of
oils and/or lubricants.

Additionally, certain activities or practices may come into

play, such as Yoni Mapping, Yoni Wand application,
Tantric Breathwork, Orgasm Control and Edging, Yoni
Dearmoring, Anal Massage, and the Sacred Spot
Massage. Read more about these modalities in our section
Yoni Massage – Specific Elements.

Mind that each practitioner carries out a Yoni Massage

differently, depending on his or her style and the
therapeutic goal of the session. Yet typically, a treatment
will start with a gentle and caressing full body Tantric Oil
Massage, while gradually increasing focus on your
erogenous zones.

Heading on to the vulva, clitoris, vagina and further

internally to the G-Spot and cervix and/or to the rectum will
be done only when you have given consent and moreover,
when you are completely relaxed and prepared after a
general full body massage.

Some Yoni Massage therapists explicitly begin a session

with practicing Tantric Breathing techniques with you. This
is done to relax you, connect deeper with your body, and to
give you more energy. It’s also a tool that teaches you to

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 30
use breathing to heighten your experience during the
massage.

Very much depending on the therapist, certain Tantric

welcoming, awakening, and/or honoring rituals may be
performed. These can be done standing or sitting (on the
floor) and can, for instance, include chanting, mantras,
hugging and/or lightly caressing your body.

A special ambiance may be created, which, again

depending on the therapist, may include darkening the
room, burning incense, candlelight, blindfolding, initial
touch, and background music.

After the preliminaries you will be invited to lie down nude

on a massage table, face down, sometimes starting with a
towel on your buttocks. This is when the actual Yoni
Massage session starts.

Subsequently, your back, neck, shoulders and arms will be

massaged with (warm) oil. Gradually the massage will
extend to the lower parts of your body, that is, to the
buttocks, thighs, the lower legs and feet.

After being asked to turn around, the therapist will start with
the front side of your body. The head, face, neck, arms,
belly and hips will be massaged, followed by the erogenous
zones, such as the breasts, nipples, inner thighs, while
finally heading to the vulva and vagina. With consent,
internal work will be carried out.

Many different kinds of sensations may be experienced

during the session, which can include pleasurable feelings,
emotional release, crying, shaking, full body orgasms
(without physical ejaculation), physical orgasms, and
energy whirls throughout the complete body, just to give
some examples.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 31
After the session, you will have time to relax while lying on
the massage table. Usually, the practitioner will use hot
towels to take off the oils. You can also take a shower if a
bathing facility is available.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 32
After the Yoni Massage
Immediately after a session, you may feel in trance, tired,
or perhaps the opposite: extremely invigorated. Some
clients actually fall asleep. Make sure that you get the
space and opportunity to calm down before leaving the
session location.

In general, it’s advised to take it easy after a therapeutic

massage session, and this is likewise the case for a Yoni
Massage.

Especially if strong emotional or trauma release has

occurred during a session, you may need days to
rebalance and recover. The effects of the massage may be
felt up to a week later. This can take many forms: mood
swings, feeling muscle soreness, feeling highs or lows,
active or passive, and what not.

Most people will have found a new equilibrium within five to

seven days, but exceptions can be the case where clients
need ten to fourteen days to digest the work.

Inquire with your therapist if you are allowed to contact him

or her to give feedback or to ask questions with regard to
the after-period.

PAGE: 34
Edging and Orgasm Control
Orgasm Control and Edging have become almost
synonymous phrases nowadays, but from out Tantric and
Taoist perspectives there’s quite a difference. To enlighten
the topic a bit, let’s first say it like this: Edging is a form of
Orgasm Control, but Orgasm Control goes way beyond
Edging.

Today, Edging is quite trendy and heavily advertised, and

to make a long story short: it’s practiced mainly to retain an
orgasm in order to prolong masturbation and sexual
intercourse. The idea is to have more and longer sensual
i.e. sexual pleasure or more intense orgasms (the latter
because of the tension build-up). It can also be used to
prevent premature ejaculation, in that sense becoming a
help or perhaps a rather therapeutic practice.

Edging is usually done by purposefully stopping thrusting

(intercourse) or rubbing (or whatever means of genital
arousal) for a short period (perhaps 5 or 10 seconds, or so)
in order to prevent the climax i.e. an external orgasm (and
the following abrupt end of the sexual activity).

Now, Orgasm Control from out a Tantric or Taoist

perspective (both philosophies maintain the same concept
about it) is done to raise internal sexual energy levels in
order to attain higher levels of consciousness, personal
growth and health, including finally liberation,
enlightenment and spiritual union and bliss.

The core idea of Orgasm Control then is that sexual energy

is mostly concentrated in reproductive fluids, in the case of
men, the semen. Thus, if a man can control ejaculating, he
will avoid losing sexual energy. Female orgasms, with

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 35
some exceptions, are thought to generally not result in loss
of sexual energy.

But it doesn’t stop there. It’s about controlling and

redirecting this sexual energy (which is thought to be the
primordial creative energy) through the body, from lower
Chakras to higher Chakras. In fact, it’s about working with
Kundalini energy.

In Taoist teachings, it’s about moving sexual energy

through the so-called Dantian, energy centers in the body
which can be seen as rather similar to the Indian Chakras.
The Dantian refer to “elixir of life” points or areas where
Jing, Qi and Shen energy essences are stored and
transformed subsequently, which result in regenerative
capacity, health, longevity, spiritual growth and
enlightenment.

Apart from the end goal of divine bliss and enlightenment

(when we consider Orgasm Control as a spiritual practice),
the fact of circulating sexual Kundalini energy through the
body can have healing effects because it unblocks (or
opens) the energy centers and energy channels, and with
that, releases tensions on both a physical and emotional
level, and moreover, stimulates optimal functioning of the
human body and mind.

Tantra and Taoism teach certain techniques, such as

Mudras, Bandhas, Meditation techniques, Yoga Asanas,
and Breathwork, which can be used to control ejaculation.
In fact, certain muscles are involved in the ejaculation
process and by identifying these muscles and controlling
these muscles, one can control orgasms.

But also specific massages, such as Tantric and Taoist

massages, and certain massage techniques and stretches
can be applied making Orgasm Control easier to achieve.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 36
Multi-Orgasmic States
Drawing on ancient Taoist Sexual Practices and the more
contemporary works of Mantak Chia and the Neo-Tantra
movement, the idea of Multi-Orgasm embraces the notion
that one can reach extended pleasure and spiritual states
that surpass the momentary ecstasy of a singular orgasm.
Moreover, multiple types of orgasms are possible.

The core concept of the Taoist practices is to cultivate and

channel sexual energy (Orgasmic Chi or Sexual Chi) to
reach an expanded state of body awareness and pleasure,
and increased spiritual consciousness. In addition, Sexual
Chi is used to create a better physical health, longevity
(prolonged life), and an improved vitality and creativity.

For both men and women it can mean being able to

experience the full range of orgasmic potential, full-body
orgasms, and make love longer and more intensely. Other
benefits are thought to be the enhancement of vital energy
and vigor, keeping the sexual organs healthy and optimally
functional, and strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.

In the work as proclaimed by Mantak Chia, Karsai

Massage, Genital Massage, Chi Nei Tsang Massage,
Healing Love, and Sexual Qigong play an important role to
unlock Multi-Orgasmic potential.

Multi-Orgasmic concepts and bodywork can also be found

in the work of, for instance, Joseph Kramer (Taoist Erotic
Massage, Lingam Massage and Yoni Massage) and
Andreas Rothe (Tantra Massage and Yin-Yang Massage).

Sacred G-Spot Massage
Women do not officially have prostates, but a set of glands
and ducts at the front of the vagina — the Skene Glands —
which are sometimes referred to as the female prostate. It’s
an organ that produces female prostatic secretion, which
could be compared to fluids expelled by the male prostate.

The core idea of a Sacred Spot Massage or G-Spot

Massage is of Tantric origin. It’s said that the Sacred Spot
is connected to the Skene Glands. Furthermore, the
Sacred Spot is part of the G-Spot, although in many
descriptions the Sacred Spot and G-Spot are used as
synonyms.

Mind also that the G-Spot is a profound emotional area (not

only a single spot) in the body, which is accessed through
the vagina. The name G-Spot is derived from the full name
Gräfenberg Spot named after the German physician,
scientist, and gynecologist Ernst Gräfenberg.

Following Tantric ideas, it’s thought that the G-Spot or

Sacred Spot is a gateway to the second Chakra, known as
the Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana. Supposedly, by
stimulating the area, a certain liquid called Amrita is
released (which is said to be part of the female
ejaculation). This Amrita is said to be the Nectar of Life
releasing women of negative energies and of blockages in
the flow of Prana (Vital Life Energy).

A G-Spot Massage is also applied to stimulate pleasurable

full-body orgasms. It’s furthermore thought that all other
Chakras in the body are renewed with fresh energy after a
session.

Tantra and Neo-Tantra
Tantra systems, spirituality, philosophy and practices
originate in India and became more prominent on the
“Indian spiritual stage” around 500 CE. What Tantra is
exactly, is a topic of ongoing debate, and there are many
interpretations. All these varied ideas are not the subject of
this chapter. We’d only like to give you a general idea of
what Tantra and Neo-Tantra is about.

What is known as Tantra is a system or methodology in

Indian Hindu spiritual, cosmological, and religious
traditions. The scope of topics is vast and Tantra deals with
the evolution and history of the world, with male and female
Deities, Gods and Goddesses, ritual worship, magic,
sorcery, occultism, divination, astrology, esoteric practices,
Kundalini energy, purification techniques for body and
mind, self-development, self-realization and enlightenment,
and divine sexuality.

The techniques and methods used in Tantra range from

rituals, ceremonies, fasting, dietary restrictions, pujas
(worshipping acts), mental and physical exercises,
meditation, chanting, devotional activities, Mantras (word,
sounds or statements repeated to aid concentration in
meditation), Yantras (geometric diagrams, or other objects
used as an aid to meditation in Tantric worship),
Breathwork, Yoga, dance, massage, well, you name it.

In the 19th century, when India resided under British rule,

Indian Vedic philosophy, spirituality and religion started to
find its way to the West resulting in an increasing number
of admirers and followers. The material that came to the
West included many aspects, such as the Vedas,
Upanishads, other ancient texts such as the Kama Sutra,

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 39
Yoga philosophy and practices, Ayurveda medicine, and
yes, also Tantra.

Then, at the end of the 1960s, in line with the sexual

revolution in the West, Tantra practices saw a strong
interest and revival, being transformed in what today is
commonly labeled as the Neo-Tantra Movement. Neo-
Tantra practices, such as contemporary Tantric Massage
and Yoni Mapping, draw from a wide range of techniques
having elements of traditional Indic Tantra philosophy and
rituals, Indian Yoga, Bioenergetics, and contemporary
sexual therapeutic, spiritual, massage and bodywork
techniques borrowed from teachers and psychologists such
as Wilhelm Reich, Carl Jung, Carl Rogers, Alexander
Lowen, Mantak Chia, Joseph Kramer and Annie Sprinkle.

Nevertheless, today it often seems that the “Tantra thing”

has gone wild. Many offerings of Tantric Massage therapy
for instance, are very often only focused on erotic pleasure
elements, using trendy labels as Healing Tantric Massage,
Sacred Yoni Massage, Lingam Manhood Discovery, or
Tantric G-Spot Sacred Prostate Massage, simply to give a
fashionable and attractive name to more straightforward
sensual and erotic massages or “Happy Endings.”

It has become increasingly hard to distinguish what’s more

or less “authentic” and what’s not, and the number of
Tantric trainings, workshops and courses and Tantric
treatment offerings is simply astonishing, with frequent
additions of new schools, trainers, therapists, and
treatment modalities.

Whatever the case, and however you’d like to interpret the

Neo-Tantra movement, in the past decades it has become
crystal clear that the world, not only the West, still very
much struggles with questions around suppressed and
distorted sexuality, sensuality, intimacy, and eroticism, and

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

desperately tries to find new and updated ways to solve
those.

Tantric Breathing
Breathwork, a modality which arose in the late 1960s and
1970s, is a label for a variety of conscious breathing
practices which are thought to influence one’s mental,
emotional and/or physical state.

In fact, it’s a method of breath control (actually various

breathing techniques are used depending on the type of
Breathwork) with the goal to induce changed states of
consciousness and to have an effect on physical and
mental well-being.

Although forms of Breathwork existed already in various

ancient bodywork, martial arts and spiritual traditions (such
as Pranayama in Indian Yoga), it was first studied and
practiced in the West by Wilhelm Reich (1897 – 1957), an
influential Austrian doctor of medicine and psychoanalyst.

Apart from promoting simple relaxation, it can be used

therapeutically to stimulate physical, emotional, and
spiritual changes, to access special — notably spiritual,
hypnotic and trance-like — states of consciousness, and to
release traumatic emotional or sexual experiences.

Today, there are many, many types of Breathwork, such as

Rebirthing Breathwork, Vivation Breathwork, Holotropic
Breathwork, Integrative Breathwork, Transformational
Breathwork, Shamanic Breathwork, Conscious Connected
Breathing, Radiance Breathwork, Zen Yoga Breathwork,
and of course Tantric Breathwork.

Although, here also, there are a variety of Tantric

Breathwork modalities — with different aims, used in
different ways and with different techniques — but the

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 42
principal idea is to release blocked energy, control energy
flow in our bodies, release trauma, and induce well-being
of mind, body and spirit to enable higher spiritual or
consciousness levels within a person.

It’s thought that several benefits can be obtained with the

practice, such as healing sexual blockages and traumas,
integrating our sexuality in our lives, connecting with our
bodies, spiritual development, improving our sex life and
relationship healing, among others.

The practice can be done alone, with a partner, within a

group or with help of a Breathwork therapist. Notable
therapeutic applications can be found, for instance, in
Tantric Coaching, Tantric Massage (including Yoni and
Lingam Massage) and in Sexological Bodywork.

The Yoni Wand
Yoni Wands, also called Pleasure Wands, are phallic-
shaped crystal stone tools (or made from other gemstones)
designed with the idea to transform the female
masturbation practice into a more self-loving, emotional
and spiritual dearmoring, and self-pleasure practice.

By the way, it’s generally thought that Yoni Wands have

already been used for ages in a variety of cultures across
the world.

The Yoni Wand is a manually used tool and doesn’t vibrate

like the classic automatic vibrator or dildo. Some people
advise to first soak a Yoni Wand in hot water before using
it, in order to increase pleasure. The Wand is not for self-
use only, it can be applied together with a partner.

Each Yoni Wand is different, which depends on the

radiation i.e. frequency of the stones or crystals used.
They’re usually applied for massage (including Yoni
Massage), internally and externally, and also for Neo-
Tantric Yoni Mapping.

As Yoni Wands are not made from plastic, rubber, silicon

or latex, but from organic materials, they are seen as more
natural and safer because they don’t contain toxic agents.

On the other hand, women do need to be careful with their

Wand, because ruptures and little porous holes can
become a source of fungi and bacteria. It’s therefore
advised to regularly check the Wand and clean it properly.

Tantric Rituals
Tantra is known for its vast number of practices, such as
philosophical study, sorcery, divination, occultism,
penance, taboo-breaking activities, meditation, devotion,
Yoga, among others — and to come back to the subject of
this chapter — its Tantric rituals and ceremonies.

A ritual or ceremony can be described as a set of actions

done in a prescribed order. Rituals and ceremonies (called
Dikshas in India) are important in Tantra, notably as Tantric
initiation rites, but special ceremonial forms of worshiping
or devotion are likewise practiced plenty. As for the latter,
think of rituals like Linga-Yoni worshiping, or Shiva and
Shakti Deity worshiping, and such.

Additionally, there are rituals to invoke the grace and

powers of certain Hindu Gods and Goddesses, notably of
Shiva and Shakti reincarnations, or rituals to obtain
realization of desires in the material sphere, the latter often
associated with so-called Black Tantra.

A Tantric initiation is typically done by a Guru (spiritual

teacher) who would give one a secret, personal Mantra (a
sacred utterance or sound, a syllable, word or group of
words), usually bestowed in one-to-one ceremonies, after
which one can take up a specific spiritual discipline or
undergo a certain treatment.

As for an example of taboo-breaking Tantric rituals, there

are lineages (for instance, the Kaula and Vamachara
schools) that perform certain activities as a kind of Tantric
initiation, such as: drinking wine, eating meat fish and
parched grain, and having sex.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 46
Tantric worshiping rituals, which are in fact Bhakti Yoga
activities, are called Pujas in India, and may include
Mantras, Mandalas, Tantras, Yantras, Visualizations,
Chants, and/or meditation or concentration practices. This
often goes together with offering of flowers, burning
incense, prayers, and maybe certain sacred dances.

Today, within the Neo-Tantra movement, rituals and

ceremonies likewise take an important place. Examples
hereof are Tantric Bathing rituals, Welcoming rituals before
a Tantric Massage, Kundalini Energy Awakening initiations,
and Yoni and Lingam Worship (both via iconography or
embodied).

Types of Female Orgasms
Depending on how you exactly categorize, you can come
up with many types of female orgasms. In any case, we try
to give a meaningful list hereunder.

Clitoral
Clitoral orgasms are those that are rather felt on the
surface of the body, inducing prickly feelings along the skin
and in the brain.

Vaginal
A vaginal orgasm is felt deeper in the body than a clitoral
one, making the vaginal walls pulse.

Anal
What is called an anal orgasm is the occurrence of
pleasurable contractions around the anal sphincter.

Cervical
The cervical orgasm is experienced as a profound feeling
of peace, ecstasy, and joy throughout the body.

G-Spot
This orgasm is often described as feeling like continuous
waves with intense pleasure feelings spread throughout the
entire body. They tend to be accompanied by deep
emotional release.

Full Body Orgasm

Full-body orgasms refer to intense orgasms that are
experienced in every single part of the body. To experience
one it isn’t explicitly necessary to stimulate the genitals. It’s

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 48
rather related to the tantric idea of intensely circulating
sexual energy through the complete body.

Combinations
Combined orgasms can occur when the vagina, G-spot
and clitoris are stimulated at the same time. This is often
accompanied with a so-called female ejaculation and/or
squirting experience.

Erogenous zones
The ears, the nipples, the belly, the neck, the elbows, and
the knees, for instance, can cause a pleasurable reaction,
and for some women it may lead to an orgasm when
stimulation is prolonged.

PAGE: 49
Vaginal Dearmoring
The idea behind Neo-Tantric de-armoring is that women
may have built an armor, that is, an emotional and physical
protection in or around the vaginal area, inhibiting them to
function “normally,” wholly, spontaneously and healthy on a
sexual level — both on the emotional and physical plane —
and ultimately also being hindered to fully express their
“womanhood” or femininity.

Thus, having built an armor, dearmoring is basically about

releasing physical, mental and psychological sexual
blockages and with that also actual physical pain and
numbness in and around the vagina. These blockages may
have been built over years through trauma, emotional
pressure, and stress that emerged from one’s upbringing,
one’s specific cultural society and mold, or from deeply
damaging experiences such as rape, sexual harassment,
gender issues, and prejudice, and so on.

The mind reflects itself in the body and vice versa. In this
case related to the vagina, and the idea is that by releasing
and coping with disturbing emotions or trauma through
psycho-physical work, women will be able to experience
increased pleasure, more internal orgasms, have a better
sex-life, feel more free, becoming a more whole, complete
and balanced person.

So, by manually stimulating areas of tightness, contraction

and pain with massage and acupressure, women can
release mental, emotional, and physical blockages. Of
course, there’s also a whole lot of psychological work to be
done, but… by accepting that one can come to emotional
release by direct physical vaginal treatments, being “open”
for it, half of the work is done, so to say.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 50
Typical modalities that support this kind of de-armoring
work are Yoni Massage (self-massage or done by a
therapist or partner), the Yoni Wand, and the Yoni Egg.

PAGE: 51
Yoni Mapping
Yoni Mapping is part of the Genital Mapping paradigm and
is considered a “navigation” and discovery through the Yoni
in order to find areas of numbness, contraction, pain,
insensitivity, disconnection and tension on the physical but
also on the emotional level.

The points or areas found are thought to be signs of some

form of physical or emotional trauma or stress. In fact, a
“map” is created from one’s inner world to find out what
feels good, what feels not so good, what emotions are
triggered where and how, and so on.

It’s an awareness exercise, or therapy if one prefers, to

come to a deeper understanding and connection with
oneself. It’s the start of a healing process, because all
healing starts with being fully conscious of what’s “wrong”
or what needs attention.

Afterwards, several treatment modalities can come to help

to resolve issues, such as Yoni Massage, Tantra Massage,
the Yoni Wand or Karsai Nei Tsang, Chi Nei Tsang,
abdominal massages, and other genital massages and
bodywork.

If a Yoni Mapping therapist is involved, he or she will

typically coach and talk with you trying to get to the surface
what issues are concerned both physically and mentally.

The therapist will also explain all about the Yoni, its
function and its several relevant anatomical parts such as
the pelvic floor, vagina, the vulva, cervix, uterus, ovaries,
and so on. With consent a start will be made to, together

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 52
with the therapist, explore the Yoni and other relevant
areas such as the abdomen and pelvic area.

In any case, Yoni Mapping alone can already help to

release tension in muscles and ligaments, increase
sensitivity, increase awareness, prepare for childbirth, or
recover from childbirth, educate about sexual anatomy,
orgasms, sex and pleasure, release shame or guilt, deal
better with menstrual pains, among many other things in
relation to a woman’s sexuality and genitals.

Yoni Spot-ology (A-Spot, C-
Spot, and more)
There’ a lot of buzz going around about all the various
(orgasmic) spots women have and can enjoy. In this
chapter we briefly look at the meaning of the best known
Yoni Spots.

The A-Spot
The A-Spot equals the anterior fornix erogenous zone. It’s
a pleasure point/area which is located inside the vagina
canal and it can be found between the cervix and the
bladder. Some claim that this is actually the “female
prostate.”

The C-Spot
The C-Spot is actually another name for the clitoris.
Nevertheless, the C-spot can also be the label for the most
sensitive part of the clitoris.

Sometimes the C-Spot has a totally other meaning,

referring to the top of the cervix (cervix-spot).

The G-Spot
The G-spot is an area located inside the vagina, near the
entrance, on the upper vaginal wall under the pubic bone.

Learn more about the G-Spot in our Sacred Spot chapter.

The K-Spot
The K-Spot sometimes refers to the two spots to the right
and the left of the clitoral hood.

YONI MASSAGE | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PAGE: 54
In other definitions, it’s the sensitive spot just above the
anus.

And in again other descriptions it’s located opposite the G-

Spot in the vaginal canal.

The O-Spot
This area is further in the vaginal canal and is located
behind the cervix. It’s sometimes described as the “deep
spot.” As it’s actually behind (in) the uterus, it can’t be
accessed directly but only indirectly.

The P-Spot
The P-Spot refers to the posterior fornix, which is located in
the vagina, near the cervix on the posterior wall, opposite
of the G-spot.

The PS-Spot
The PS-Spot refers to the perineal sponge. It’s a spongy
cushion of tissue and blood. It sits between the vaginal
opening and rectum and is located internally to the
perineum (which is the name for the area between vagina
and rectum).

The U-Spot
The U-Spot is the sensitive area between the clitoris and
the urethra. The urethra is a tube that connects the urinary
bladder to the urinary evacuation opening.

The V-Spot
The V-Spot stands for vaginal vestibule, the opening of the
vagina, the area just before entering the vaginal canal.
