CLOSING REMARKS

Undersecretary Ciriaco A. Lagunzad III

Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon!

We have reached the end of our conference after a stimulating discussion on how digital
technology is reshaping the landscape of business and industry.

The conference leaves us plenty of ideas, information, statistics, and visions to reflect upon.
It will probably take some time before we can sort them and form our own personal
perspectives on how modernization and digital transformation can be leveraged to our
advantage.

The conference is an opportunity for us to come together to renew partnerships and build
and expand our network of experts and advocates who can help us deepen the productivity
consciousness among enterprises and workers.

I wish to thank our speakers whose presence has been invaluable in making the conference
a success.

I also wish to thank the NWPC for hosting and organizing this event. Since the productivity
conference is a biennial event, we look forward to seeing you again in 2020, when we shall
reconvene to discuss yet other important issues that affect the country’s productivity and
competitiveness.

Thank you and have a safe journey home.
